Book Cover Dinca’s review of Under a Prairie Moon by Krista Kedrick
Contemporary Romance published by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform 24 Jul 11

Not a lot of dialogue in this storyline. The main characters spend a lot of time in fear of what everyone else might think, all in very little time getting their act together. Since there is not a lot of interaction, it’s hard to believe that each of them think they are in love. I did finish the book, hoping it would get better along the way. Read at your own risk.

Although new to me, this is a second edition book. The first printing was July 2011. There are still errors that could have been corrected,  just too many spelling and grammar errors . The author mixes up the brothers’ names once, which distracts from the storyline.

I made it through the book, though. It is interesting, but I feel Andrea and Jason need more interaction. For two people who really need to talk, they never say much to each other. Most of the telling is in the back-story and the thoughts of the characters, which is always wrong. When they are in a conversation, pages would go by before the dialogue would pick up again. The characters spend most of their time assuming what the other is thinking or doing and taking the word of other people as to what the other is doing, instead of having those conversations they always talk about.

I don’t even know why I finished the book. I feel the characters are not very well developed and the storyline weak.
