Now, now . . . Hilary Duff isn’t Duffy. Duffy is a Welsh singer-songwriter who probably hates her name due to Duff.

Also, that version is awful. I’m pretty fond of Mason’s even though Depeche Mode is better.

Lord help me, I kind of like the Hillary Duff song, but mostly because she kept the “beat.” In my younger days I would have grooved out to that at some club. Now, well, I’m way too old LOL

I’ve always thought Manson was a hack, and tend to file him under “mediocre performance artist.” I will admit a fondness to Beautiful People though. (Don’t tell anyone LOL)

I can normally take or leave Johnny Cash – but I love the stripped down feel of his version.

Your Depeche Mode version stopped working. So here’s another link:

    Love that song!
Oh yes, and this one, too.

The Smiths – How Soon Is Now?
I kind of link these two, and yes, you’ve heard Jonny Marr’s riff a time or two, too.
And this, oh the times I’ve sung to this!

Daniel Craig was at this concert, and there’s a strong hint that Oasis will be doing the next Bond theme.
I’d better stop before my Manc roots show too much.

Oh, heavens, I’ve done it. I’ve become my mother. I just don’t like this kind of music anymore. I never thought this day would come. LOL. I’m a country girl now through and through. But I still love my ’70s music and that’s about as rock ‘n roll or whatever it’s called nowadays as I get. Play That Funky Music, White Boy! Now, that’s music!

I’ve even programmed an oldies station on the radio in my car! Well, I had to the day I heard a song from high school, Brandy by Looking Glass, on an oldies station. Hey, I thought, that’s not an oldie! Joke’s on me.

Give me Journey, Boston, Pablo Cruise, The Hollies, Chicago, Foreigner, Kansas, The Carpenters, Bee Gees, The Doobies, Three Dog NIght, The Eagles, Don MacLean, Olivia Newton John, and, yes, Barry Manilow any day of the week and I’ll be happy.

Oy vey. Why does Hilary Duff even have a greatest hits album?

I’m staying loyal to Depeche Mode. Manson’s been a tool since I saw him open for Nine Inch Nails when I was 17.

No worries Sandy. Imagine my shock when I heard Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers on the “Classic Rock” station! Classic Rock is my parents music…no more, I’m old. Heck, “Personal Jesus” is definitely “Classic” territory, given all the covers and the age of the tune.
