All authors, even Harlequin Historical Authors should have websites. Or they should at least send me their eARCs :). Fine, summary, cover and excerpt will do but really…
Not HH but why do the Desire covers seem to have really greasy looking men on them? And why do I keep buying them?
Who was it that read Harlequin SuperRomance? Cuz there has to be a reason why I recently bought three of them…
I would have more here but don’t have Wicked Pleasures by Helen Dickson or Bedded By Her Lord by Denise Lynn in my hot lil hands yet. And a couple I have are for 2008 and don’t have links yet. This has already been in draft for years so I just posted it I think we will do something like this for general reviews. I started this last week cuz I had a plan but family stuff happened and my plan didn’t happen. Such is the way with many of my plans…

Hey Sybil – if you read some good Desires that aren’t HP clones I’d love some recs. I used to love that line – but dang, is it just me or they sounding more like HP every day? Nothing against HP, but they are sooooo not my thing.
And neither here nor there, I really need to get to the Western Winter Wonderland anthology….
I’m excited to see the historicals getting reviewed. Harlequin is one of the few publishers still doing Regencies, and anything that can be done to keep that momentum going is a good thing.

WHAT? I refuse to believe all it takes is a sign that says cowboy country to make me buy a book. FINE three books. I seem to be the happy owner of brand new The Man From Texas by Linda Style, Texas Baby by Kathleen O’Brien and Make-Believe Mom by Elaine Grant.

At least the Desires and SSE I have read before. So I have reason for getting them… and I have been really rather good… lets see I have Forgotten Marriage by Paula Roe (new author want to read soon), The Kyriakos Virgin Bride by Tessa Radley (shut up gwen), Scorned by the Boss by Maureen Child, Seduced by the Wealthy Playboy by Sara Orwig, The CEO’s Scandalous Affair by Roxanne St. Claire, In Bed With the Devil by Susan Mallery (HEY one I have read – tis good I liked). Hmmm I seem to be missing one it was horrid by a Jennifer Lewis or some such. It must be in a to be reviewed piles.
And there are only three new SSE and uh… two HP. hmmm I think I need to go hit send on an order though
Oh and I picked up Kidnapped! by Jo Leigh looks very good. And you know about most of the HH just not the recent used ones I have gotten. Really I have no idea what gwen means by saying I am just harlequin’s ho. Most unfair. I bought more zebras than Harlequins last time 🙂
HH are always a comfort read for me! I read a Denise Lynn recently, COMMANDED TO HIS BED and it was wonderful!! I do hope you get to read these. I wished I subscribed to them but I don’t. I’ll be looking up lots of these. I used to read alot of Super Romances but I then got into a variety so I more so read that line out of recommendations, same with all the other lines at Harlequin. But there are some authors that are auto buy, for example with HH, Teri Brisban, Joanne Maitland, Nicola Cornick, oh I know there’s more! LOL. I love the holiday Anthologies! Those are a great time to try new to me authors too.
The only issue I have with HH is that it seems stuck in what it actually is. Is it a “category” line or is it ST? Other than that, authors who write books outside the Regency, Western or Medieval need to submit!!
Oh Angela you can’t honestly want less Westerns! They have branched out into Rome settings :). And Elizabeth Lane has a very interesting title coming in Jan 08:

The second book went out in today’s mail after a marathon of writing. I’m really excited about this one because it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done. WINGS ON THE MORNING (my working title, which may change), was inspired by the courageous, passionate people who brought America into the aviation age. Set in 1911-12, the story involved some fascinating research. I even took a flying lesson, which gave me new respect for those pioneers who braved the sky. Below is a description of the story.
