Can you even begin to understand how much I really, really, really wish I could have taken today off!!!
What I would like to do is give you a broad overview of the days. There will be a few interviews that will pop up most likely on the guest author days. Maybe a few posts on authors who stood out in my mind for some reason or another.
And then a post on:
on the lit signing (and set up)
lunch with lisa
romance novel tv
the random house party
penguin’s party
passionate inks lunch
a gathering of zebras
Nora’s pre-RITA party
Post RITA gatherings
Avon Signing
St. Martin’s Signing
Bantam’s Signing
and more…
But who knows what all I will have time to do. God good a week away from work leaves a mess!!! And of course there are still reviews and author days to do.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, the RWA’s website has a nifty new look. As well as the guest author blogs are posted here.
I am sad I never got a chance to meet Susan Mallery or Linda Howard. And I didn’t make it to one spotlight! I ended up with a migraine Thursday and most of Friday but still made it to most of what I wanted to do. Sadly I did miss the Samhain Breakfast and Harlequin Party but I am rather shocked I did make it to as much as I did cuz I was so not feeling well.
I had a fabulous time and no one threw anything at us (that I noticed). Nora Roberts asked me at one point how people were treating us and honestly I have to say most of the authors were wonderful. Or at least they were while we were in the room and there were only a handful of times when people wanted to try and direct the content on blogs or reviews. And oddly enough it wasn’t an author who tried to slap my wrist for something I had written, go figure.
Hey Sybil! I’m glad you’re back, but actually I’m just here to say Hi and I got to see a picture of you! The only other Sybil I know was six feet tall, Samoan and mean and you don’t look like any of those, so I guess you don’t look like a Sybil to me either, lol. It’s great to have a face for the name!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Dee
I’m tellin’ ya, you guys took the RWA by storm! It was great getting little bits from Dear Author and Kristie’s blog (can’t wait for her to visit!) and I’m looking forward to your posts. Ugh. I’m sorry about the migraine headache – can’t even imagine working through that kind of pain.
What I really liked was that the authors seemed so open to you guys and obviously readers. It needs to get closer to the Canadian border so I can go!
And whadya mean ‘not for the blog’. *sigh* Always on the outside looking in 😉

Hi Sybil,
I told you at the SMP signing that deadlines have been keeping me in “lurk” mode but thanks again for stopping by and introducing yourself. And what was up with Thursday? I had a migraine, too.
Take care,
Barbara
I was such a bad worker bee today and called in sick. I’ve spent most of the day sleeping and blogging, blogging and sleeping. I unpacked one suitcase so I can do laundry and the other one – the one with most of the books in it is still sitting there open. I’m drooling over it. And I can hardly WAIT until the boxes I shipped come in!!!
