For those of you that frequent her den of brotherhood aka message board have no doubt already seen this. To answer Rosie’s question from a few days ago… I think one reason I am lucky enough to have so many great authors do posts, guest days and interviews is because I am overly anal about their privacy, about what I post and respecting their wishes regarding their content. Ok and I can’t remember shit, so I err on the side of caution. In fact I have a big scary post with lots of questions about this to put up one day soon.
JR Ward is a touch under deadline with a never ending book (personally I think she is enjoying letting V beat up on her ;)). But I was able to snag permission to post the cover and she did confirm the book has been moved up a week. I also think there will be some changes to the cover as in shading and darkness and such – Oh My!
I wasn’t able to get a clear understanding of what line the book is in now. I will check with the publisher on Monday if nothing else… (Penguin is one of the publishers I just can’t understand why books go where – another post) Still Onyx…
But it does look like the first three books were published under Signet Eclipse and Lover Revealed under Onyx. As I had understood, Lover Unbound was the first book with another line (still with Penguin)… most likely JR Ward is wondering what kind of crack I am smoking. But really that isn’t anything new, so all is well with the world. Or maybe they switched her again?
Who knows… either way that means you get V 7 days earlier than she first thought. And makes me the rightest because I had thought this book was coming out in September and had moved it when I was corrected. My name isn’t Sybil for nuthing ;).
Oh god…she actually believes that she can make predictions now…
I think we’re doomed. *ggg*
Oh My! That cover is hot. I’m *not* thinking about this book – September is too far away. And then you post this!!!! I guess I’ll have to wander over to the message boards and check up on what’s happening. 🙂
That is a sweet, sweet cover. Can’t wait for this book.
may, may, may you should not mock teh power of a sibyl I will have to smite you or something.
sadly the wikipedia is not complete for there is no mention of me, lucky for us all I could go register and fix that
of course it is prolly a good thing I am too lazy to go through that much work to make an arse of myself, but if it was easier to do…
I just knew Jane should get rid of that smite thing on the Dear Author forums!
Great news…earlier release AND lucious cover.
Heh. I just realized that I’d seen that photo before — on Jacki Frank’s GIDEON cover. It’s just rotated around and a goatee added. *g*
Still hot though.
Meljean, that happened with the original Lover Revealed cover too. I forget what book it was from, but they had cropped the picture differently and focused in on the faces more. They changed it, later, to the cover it is now, maybe cause a lot of people were noticing.
Squeee! I love the cover, and now I’m all excited again.
Okay, I’ll be the one to say it. Something is wrong with the woman’s face in this one. Hopefully they’ll correct that. It looks like she wouldn’t have a chin so yeah, they need to do some shading or something. And I’m so not wishing for September – it’ll come soon enough. Course, I could wish to be Sybil since she probably already has this book! *evil eye*
CindyS
I thought the positioning of the woman’s face and neck looked strange too! Then when I looked up Jacki Frank’s cover it has them lying down and it didn’t look so odd!
The shading of the cover is to darken V’s goatee apparently.
omg i cannot wait for it to come outi an like dying to hear the next story!!! i an totally in love with these books!!! the black dagger brotherhood takes my heart away…..
I figured out what was wrong with her head – she’s got really high cheekbones. All you can see is her chin, cheekbone, and bit of the tip of her nose. her head is rocked all the way back.
Total submission in that pose!
uh DUH gwen 😉
LOL – it looked like someone over-photoshopped her face and chopped off the front of it.
Yes, I’m slow. 🙂
