Gwen’s review of Ghost of a Chance by Eileen Ann Brennan
Contemporary erotic romance eBook published 27 Apr 07 by Ellora’s Cave Exotika
This quick little story is about an unlucky-at-love young woman who wanders into an old house and proceeds to have a wild night of ménage à trois with two mysteriously anachronistic hunks of man-flesh.
Here’s the book blurb:
Stranded by a New Years Eve snowstorm, Jenna Hawthorne seeks refuge in the old Rutledge place. Long rumored to be haunted, it now has new occupantsÂtwo of the sexiest brothers she’s ever met, and they are more than willing to take her in and warm her on a cold winter’s night.
Jonathan and Dashiell Rutledge are delighted to find the snowbound traveler on their doorstep. They are in need of a wanton, willing woman and gorgeous, free-spirited Jenna may be just the one to release them from a centuries old curse.
I had fun reading this book – but I can’t say it was an uplifting experience. Well, I suppose if I were a man, it would have been “uplifting,” if you know what I mean. This novella was (not so) lightly veiled porn, not that there’s anything wrong with that. It was a cute, quick read, but it was porn. Very little by way of story or character development.  Sorry! I calls ‘em as I sees ‘em. Get it if you want a quick warm-up before the hubby (hubbies??) get home. **Edit** I realized I was being unneccessarily limited – that should have read “significant other (others??)”. There – Political Correctness Police are now happy. (there’s a reason that acronym is PCP)**
