I own way too many books. I spend far too much money on books and shouldn’t go to the library sale today. There is amazing about of shit published these days. Every book published has a reader. Cookie dough should be a food group. I like the word whore far too much.
For every Nora Roberts quote there is a Jennifer Cruise quote and most likely they both are smart, witty and wise. I should never pull down books and expect them to be back on the shelf within a month. There needs to be more westerns in romance. I have no understanding for why people who review books get pissed off when people don’t agree with them.
I make notes of everything but have too many notebooks because then I spend 5 years looking for where I put the notes. There is something funny about posting a password protected post and then announcing you have done so. There is complete and utter sqqquuueeeness to getting books early, even when they aren’t for me.
Romance really does need a HEA. I have trouble putting down a really great book. Even when done with it, I find myself flipping through it and rereading bits I loved. I take really odd things personally and seem to disregard shit I prolly should care about. Awards can be really nifty things. I spend way too much time on chat. I don’t believe in Avonization.
The historical isn’t dead and there are some absofuckinglutly amazing books coming in the next year. The reader is always right as well as always at fault. An award should mean something or at least be known to a large marjoirty of people before the winner starts announcing they are an AWARD winner author.
The romance market is looking really great. That everyone knows everything about everything and just as much about nothing. A book may not be selling because it isn’t any good not because the publisher doesn’t want to take a risk on a fast moving, rule breaking, trend setter. We are slowly getting more variety in setting.
I really should get out more often but I don’t wanna. But most of all, I really shouldn’t go to a library sale today. Ten to one I will….
We so made a good choice to go to that library sale. You know you got a good deal. 🙂

We are clones! If every idea I put in a note book–and I love buying fresh, clean ones to kickstart my latest, bestest-ever getting-organized system–was placed stepping-stone style to the heavens I’d be moon walking. 🙂
LOL lawson is it ever a good thing to bring home 120something books for five dollars?
okay so it was
EC! I LOVE new notebooks. That clean, new paper is just waiting for great things to be put on them! One day… I will will be organized! Ok or maybe lawson will do it for me.
The day I get organized is the day hell freezes over 😀
Sybil – you lie about the number of books for $5. You have to. And even if you aren’t, I have to believe you are. [Even if you are and the truth is something relatively close, I still will.]
uh sorry hon, I won’t even look to see how many Palmers where in it… sadly I am odd enough to know the titles are written in a notebook at home
