I think the question authors get asked the most is:

Where do you get your ideas from?

shishiMy answer to that isn’t anything simple and pat.

They just come.

Sometimes I see a movie and that gets an idea going. Sometimes a song. Sometimes I’m driving down the road and bam…it hits just like that. I don’t sit down very often and try to think up a book to write and when I do? It rarely works.

But that’s the question I get asked the most…

anybody else have other questions?

Do you schedule your writing time, and what happens if you get an idea when you are doing something else???

I write it down for later. ;o)

Ang, you oughta know me by now. Schedule? What is that? Seriously, at one point, I would have said no, I don’t schedule anything but appointments but since Im trying to get more organized as a writer in general, so i can be more productive with my time, yeah, I’ve got a schdule. Usually write more after lunch and take care of biz related stuff in the AM. I’m not as strict with it as I’d like but hey…I’m working on it.

If your Hunter series was made into a movie, what actors would you pick for the cast?

Cherie, I’d have to say Touch of Gypsy Fire It’s a fantasy and since I’m totally in love with fantasy, swordsmen, elves, magic, whatever, it would definitely be that one.

Amy… hmmmmm… you know what? I dunno. The characters come to me in my head and I don’t often see anybody that resembles them as I see them. I’d have to think about that one.

Whats the pic there in this post in the blog? LOL.

Shiloh, I got into Fantasy by reading ebooks. When I saw Fantasy and SF on the bookshelves, I never knew where to start, so ebooks got me into them and always wanting to read more. Any area of Fantasy you’d yet like to explore? or other genre/theme you haven’t yet? Thanks

More in fantasy, Cathie. I don’t write in that genre enough because it does take me a lot more time, the world building and all. But deadlines are keeping me from spending as much time there as I’d like, plus I also have to be in the mood for it. That doesn’t help.

Hi Shi, which books would we see on your keeper shelf?

Anything by JR Robb, any of Nora Robert’s trilogies, anything and everything by SL Viehl/Lynn Viehl/Jessica Hall, Lora Leigh, Mary Wine, Shelby Reed, Anne Bishop….hhhhmmmmm is there a word limit on this?

crud. that was supposed to be JD Robb, but maybe it was a subliminal… because JR Ward should have been there too.

Okay, another question about books. Which of those books do you find yourself re-reading most often?

SL Viehl. Without a doubt. I’m on my second or third with a couple of hers. I’m not a gentle reader. I love my books, but I don’t treat them like glass and they eventually fall apart. Only books I’ve ever read to pieces by SL Viehl’s were Mercedes Lackey’s Children of the Night and Laurell K Hamilton’s Nightseer.

Thanks Shiloh. Never read Children of the Night. Need to go get the blurb on this one.
