Why do you have a group blog? What do you feel Allure Authors has to offer the reader encourage them to make you a daily stop?
www.allureauthors.com is our website. We keep readers updated on all the exciting Allure author news there! One of the unique things about the Allure authors is how prolific each of the authors is. We all have a lot going on and we all have frequent reader events and contests. Allureauthors.com is a great spot to stop in and find all of this fun stuff in one place!
It seems to have been a pretty amazing year for all of you. What project are you or were you most excited about that has signed in the past year? (your own or others)
Of course the Alluring Tales release for our group is so very exciting. We have worked together on this project for over a year. We all met up at RWA last year and putting us all together in person was a blast. Several of us are doing panels up upcoming conventions together as well. So by far, our group is most excited about how we as a team have come together.
For me, this has been an exciting year because I finally saw my career begin to take off. I have five releases this year and already about the same for next year. My first Blaze hits in August right at my 40th Birthday so that is big for me. I had a goal of ‘making it’ so to speak by 40 or hanging up the effort. So its rather profound for me that it releases when it does.
As for other Allure author releases I share a lot of excitement for Cathryn Fox’s PLEASURE series because we do some critique work together and I got to see her process and feel involved in the PLEASURE lol of watching her turn them into great fun stories! Don’t miss these hot stories! Then, I met Vivi Anna, when we were both writing for the same small press. Her path has been one I feel intimately involved with and so her excitement feels really contagious to me. Not only that, we sold to Nocturne and even have that shared bond. She is an amazing writer you don’t want to miss!

How do you feel you have benefited from Allure Authors?
I actually coordinate getting everyone together but from there everyone jumped in and made magic. I obviously think each author is special though or I wouldn’t have sought them out. I think they are a powerhouse of writers who will be seeing nothing but greatness. And the minds and creativity to promote and come together are spectacular! Each person has offered something special and critical to our success!
What is the biggest mistake you think an author can do blogwise?
What I have done! I build up a following and then have deadline crunch hit and stop blogging. I have had readers email me and say — where did you go?!
Have your views of the Internet, blogs and or websites changed in the past year? How?
No. Having done promotional work for authors for years, and coming from a big corporate world where I did marketing, I’ve always believed your web presence is critical! In today’s world where people even shop on line and never leave home, how can you ignore such an important avenue to connect to readers?!
What is your must see tv daily blog stop?
I don’t visit any tv blogs but I work the net for sure! I love to stop by and see the upcoming clip of MONK. My man gets mad if he sees me surfing 24 though. He’s afraid I’ll see something before he does!
What is your favorite curse word?
Funny. Chingado — shit in Spanish. I don’t speak spanish. I’ve just heard my man say it so much I joking say it all the time now. And its fitting because SHIT was my fav anyway!

Amy — It’s so hard to pick one thing! I love that I get to explore different experience through other people and creating happy endings doing it:) And working at home after MANY YEARS of working 12-15 hour days is great. I still work long hours but they feel so different now. I feel very blessed to have the oppporutnities I do.
QUESTION TWO: What would you like to accomplish in the next five years?

Right now I feel like I’ve been invited into this great world of writing but no one has decided I get to stay yet:) I really want a career writing and I am prepared to put in the hardwork to make it happen. So to establish myself and to make a list! YAY! That would be great. To connect with readers who want my next book. I remember seeing a lady eating on day reading a book she look like she was completely absorbed in. I thought — I want people to feel that way about my books!
Right now I have a proposal I am reallye excited about that I hope might be the ‘one’ that really helps me break out. Crosss your fingers for me!
Question THREE: Hi Lisa, what character in your stories are you most alike?

Right Now its Des from Beast of Desire because that is the book I am writing now. I find that I need to be in love with my hero in each story at the time to really make them lovable lol! But Des is daring and wild and wounded and he needs saving. He’s got a Jack Bauer quality. He needs a good woman for sure lol!

I am such a movie freak its hard to pick a favorite! I adore Pretty Woman and would say its still my favorite romance and its a great comedy too. Right now, I cannot wait to see 23 with Jim Carey. I hope to go tomorrow night! My man is a big horror fan and I am not but I find that feeling fear helps write it soooo I let him torture me. The Grudge scared the hell out of me so I guess you could say it was a good one! I loved the Matrix and what is funny is I thought I wouldn’t. I didn’t see the first one until the second one was out. Another movie I didn’t think I would like was 40 year old virgin. I loved it. I want to see the movie that was out recently with Cameron Diaz and Jack Black and a few others. It was a romantic comedy that looked really cute. Gosh- this is just a few! There are LOTS. Oh can’t wait to see Ghostrider!! I am so behind on my movies because of deadlines!
Question FIVE: If you could be any character in a movie or tv show, which one would you pick?

Lee ! This is a tough one too — here are a few thoughts that immediately came to mind:
-Wouldn’t it be great to be on an island with Jack and Sawyer fighting over you? But then Evangeline’s character is so shallow…..so that is a drawback
-Buffy gets to kick butt and look great doing it and she gets to make love to ANGEL ! YUM…but then he turns evil so that kind of blows that
-Chloe on 24 gets to help save the world and Jack needs saving too. If I could actually do anything more than break computers that would be the ticket. I’d save the world and Jack too. Because of course, KEIFER ROCKS! 🙂

Oh….so tough. I don’t know. I am pondering. Bill Clinton would be really interesting. He’s an amazing man, in some good ways and some bad! I mean, how might history have changed if Monica had never existed. Think how the battle to take him down changed the focus on our goverment from taking care of business. I wonder if he ever wonders how things might have been different…
Wait — Kelli Ripa so I could beg her to talk about my books and make my career!
