When I searched for a story I could tell that would blend and compliment the stories the other Allure authors were proposing, I was stumped. I wanted something different.
For the most part, they wrote smart and sexy stories, but the tones were serious. So, I thought something light and funny.
I’m known for my dark stuff–the big, bad vamps and were-creatures, but I do have a twisted comic lurking somewhere inside me. Nothing’s funnier to me than two people entering a relationship with their predisposed prejudices and mindsets and learning to let it all go as they get to know this one person who completes them.
So why not have a smart, savvy business woman who thinks all jocks are a bit dense? Why not have the guy want to show her a thing or two, but give him a helluva handicap? Those were my thoughts–Kili’s Ice Man was the result. I hope you enjoy reading it one-tenth as much as I did writing it!

Sounds really good Delilah.
Thanks, Sherie! We’ve been getting awesome reviews!! Sometimes anthos can leave a reader feeling like a tale is unfinished or too short, but I think we did a really good job of telling our complete stories in a few pages. They really are a set of good bedtime bites!
Sounds great!
Hi there, Amy!! You’ll have to let me know if you see the book in the stores. We’ve (the Allure authors) have been tripping over “sightings”!
You have such a great sense of humor that I enjoy so much in your stories. Do you find that same sense of the ridiculous in your “real” life?
I teach 14-year-olds in my real life–I have to have a sense of humor, or I’d be screaming!!
But yeah, I find the funny everywhere–not that you’d ever guess when you read Into the Darkness. That’s my dark side coming out–and it’s pure twisted, demented, hardcore lusty.
Okay, show of hands, who here loves pure twisted, demented, hardcore lusty? I bet all your hands are up aren’t they? 🙂
Into the Darkness sounds like a story I would love to read. Is it part of a series?
Lee!
Into the Darkness is the start of a new paranormal series for my Avon books. Guardian of Darkness is the followup and in edit right now!
It’s got everything–vamps and mages and demons and…some surprises…no, LOTS of surprises along the way.
Ive gotten some terrific reviews of ITD already, including 4 1/2 stars from Romantic Times (their highest)! They said it’s fresh–which for a vamp story set in New Orleans says a lot!
Congrats on the great review, now I have another book for my wish list. Will Guardian of Darkness continue the story of Natalie and Rene? or do you give us new characters?
Guardian of Darkness will follow the story of Rene’s vampire partner, Chessa Tomas. The poor woman has two men sniffing after her and she’s still smarting from Rene’s defection. Add to that there’s a really ‘Big Bad’ stalking the vamps of Ardeal, and I think the story will keep you up late at night!
If I had to describe what I’m doing with these stories, I’d say give I’ve given Underworld a personality and whole lot of heat!
Renee has a vampire partner? Now that is a nice twist.
Oh for pete’s sake. I know Rene is spelled with one e! Sorry D.
Lee!
I type with three fingers on each hand–backspace is my friend. 🙂
