This book ended up being quite anticlimactic for me. Over the first four books in the series when learning about Tain's horrible circumstances, learning about how Adrian has searched for 700 years for his baby brother, learning that perhaps Tain can't be saved when all is said and done, I knew, once it was announced there would be a book about Tain, that he would be saved, and though most of that takes place in The Gathering, I expected and anticipated more between these immortal demigod brothers in this book.
