REVIEW: A Historical Christmas Present by Kleypas, Sands, and Greenwood
December 1, 2008
Devon’s review of A Historical Christmas Present by Lisa Kleypas, Lynsay Sands, and Leigh Greenwood
Historical Romance Anthology released by Love Spell 1 Sep 08
First off, everyone should know that these three novellas have all been published previously. I don’t want anyone to get their hopes up, thinking that a favorite author has a new story out. However, if you haven’t read these stories before, and you’re looking for some entertaining Christmas-themed romance, this is a good bet. While none of the stories were extraordinary, they were all nice, solid reads — a good way to wile away a few hours.

REVIEW: The Rogue Hunter by Lynsay Sands
November 10, 2008
Gwen's review of The Rogue Hunter (Argeneau Vampires Book 10 or Rogue Hunters Book 1) by Lynsay Sands
Contemporary paranormal romance released by Avon 30 Sep 08
This is the first book of a new vampire series by Sands and is connected to her Argeneau Vampires books, but will apparently be a unique series. I have never cared for the Argeneau books, to be honest, so I was hoping that a fresh series would lend a fresh voice to what I found to be good, but oh-so-deliberately paced writing. However, after reading this first book, I'm not sure if I'll be reading the next. Read more

Paranormal romance released by Avon 26 Sept 08
Any book with the Argeneau Vampires is a must read for me. Though there are a couple in the series that aren't as good, in general the books are all must haves. Though most of the main members of the Argeneau family have had their books, Sands is starting to branch out more into the secondary characters from previous novels, and I'm sure later on, the legion of cousins to the Argeneau. Historical and contemporary paranormal romance anthology released by Kensington 1 Apr 08
This antho landed in my hands and I went, "Oooooo! Looks positively yummy!" I love a good paranormal antho - the plot moves along so quickly in those stories. This one was no disappointment, even if I wasn't a huge fan of all the stories. Read on to find out the whole skinny... Read more

Lawson's review of Vampire, Interrupted (Argenau Vampires, Book 9) by Lynsay Sands
Paranormal romance released 26 Feb 08 by Avon
For everyone that's been waiting, Marguerite's story is here. If you were expecting something good, you're getting something great. Interrupted ranks up there as probably one of the best of the series. The set up for Interrupted goes back through quite a few in the series, starting with the end of A Bite to Remember with Marguerite agreeing to help find an immortal's mother. Marguerite then goes missing and spurs most of the action in Vampires are Forever. The action starts of explaining some of the things that happened to lead to Marguerite's disappearance. Be warned, there are spoilers ahead. Read more

So even more great news, Harper Collins put up Lnysay Sands' Vampire, Interrupted as one of the books on their online preview/reading promotion. To which I have to say, go read it! Really, and I know there are lots of Argeneau-aholics out there that are dying for a sneak peek into Marguerite's story before it comes out later this month.
Click here for the first three, and part of the fourth chapters.
I think it's great of the publisher to be offering long excerpts of books to help garner interest. It's a marketing technique, sure, but it's a good one. Why not try more than a couple of pages from a book for an excerpt? Makes sense to give a preview of a couple of chapters so the reader can get a good solid feel for the book.
So go! Read to your heart's content. And get Vampire, Interrupted on February 26. You know you want to.

Paranormal Romance released 29 Jan 08 by Avon
The second Argeneau Vampires novel this year, the eighth book in the series so far, is definitely a huge step up from The Accidental Vampire. Which just makes me thing that Accidental Vampire was a blip in the series, rather than an indicator of the way the series is going. Though I'm sure everyone is waiting for Marguerite's story, instead it's Thomas' story in this one, and Thomas is a delightful surprise, and shows much more depth than his character has been previously seen as. This book has a cute premise. Well-meaning neighbors put in ad in a paper for their friend who came back from Mexico a vampire. They know their own mortality and want her to have companionship as she out lives them all. Elvi is lucky to have such caring friends and neighbors. She doesn't know any other vampires and doesn't know she's violated the basic vampire laws however. Read more
