I first fell in love with Janice Maynard’s books when a friend of mine found a copy of Suite Fantasy. We were going to an author signing at a bookstore and Janice was one of the author’s there. I read the book before going so I could talk to her about the book a little. After that Janice Maynard became an automatic, must have the book as soon as it comes out, author. The Power of Love isn't at all what I thought it would be. Novellas are hard to do well. Make it a short story and it more often than not doesn't work for me. Add in the awesome fact the author's proceeds go to The YMCA Battered Women's Shelter of Cincinnati - well I was expecting more women's fiction than romance. I was very wrong.
