Historical romance released by NAL Trade 7 Oct 08

Those of you who know me know I cut my historical romance teeth on Bertrice Small and Roberta Gellis.  Both authors occupy a special place in the bookcase in my heart.  Now, imagine my frustration and disappointment when I pick up one of their recent books and discover my tastes have completely changed since I first read them!  I felt like wailing, "Say it ain't so, Joe!"  So here is not so much a review of the book as a review of how my tastes as a reader have changed.  Read more

REVIEW: Dangerous Pleasures by Bertrice Small

August 5, 2008

Book CoverGwen's review of Dangerous Pleasures by Bertrice Small

Days before her marriage to Dom the Twat, she meets Niall “Hubba Hubba” Burke, with whom she falls instantly in love with.  She begs and pleads with her father to stop the marriage, but The O’Malley (as he’s fondly known in Ireland) refuses to renege on a promise made years before. Read more

December 12, 2007

Bev's Angel IconWe here in Romancelandia are complete series addicts. Once an author writes a well received book, her fans immediately start clamoring for more stories set in the same world. I think it would be correct to state that no two Romancelandians will ever have the exact same entries on their own Favorite Series list.  Read more
