REVIEW: Hold Me by Tawna Fenske
Sandy M’s review of Hold Me (Cherry Blossom Lake, Book 3) by Tawna Fenske
Contemporary Romance published by Tawna Fenske 8 Mar 24
I’m thinking I have to retract my comments not too long ago that Try Me, the first book in the series, didn’t work for me. After reading this one, along with Book 2, Charm Me, I now imagine it was my mood or whatever was going on in life that kept me from enjoying that first story. The initial few chapters of this book kept me chuckling and laughing. Who knew hunting for razor clams could be so sexual – even when our Zoe doesn’t realize she’s already got her hooks into poor Cal, who doesn’t stand a chance now that his right woman has come along.
REVIEW: The Last Legacy by Adrienne Young
Kaitlyn‘s review of The Last Legacy (World of the Narrows, Book 3) by Adrienne Young
Young Adult published by Wednesday Books 7 Sep 21
This is a love letter to Adrienne Young’s writing. You can tell the amount of work and effort that goes into her books. I really feel as if I am transported into the world of the Narrows and the Unnamed Sea each time I pick up one of her books.

REVIEW: The Secret Keeper by Genevieve Graham
Sandy M’s review of The Secret Keeper by Genevieve Graham

Another wonderfully written and intriguing story from Canadian history by Genevieve Graham. We meet twins Margaret and Dorothy – Dash and Dot – Wilson as children through the late 1920s, into the ’30s, and then into the era of WWII as they grow into the world of women who assist Canada in bringing down the Nazis in a spectacular way.
REVIEW: Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Kaitlyn‘s review of Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Fantasy published by Flatiron Books 8 Oct 19
During the first few chapters, I checked three times to make sure I was reading the first book in the series. You’re just thrown right into the thick of it, but it works so well. Once I confirmed I was reading the first book, I let the confusion run rampant and had a good time.

Instead of rating each of the books, I’m going to rate the men in them, because there are no rules here!
REVIEW: Play Dirty by Lora Leigh
Sandy M’s review of Play Dirty (Temping SEALs: Triton, Book 1) by Lora Leigh
Contemporary Romance published by Bramble 26 Mar 24
I read Lora Leigh for years and loved those early books. Then back in 2021 after not finishing Her Renegade Cowboy, I was mystified as to what happened and why it left no impression on me. In my review of that book, I take part of the blame for the story not working for me. I’m thinking of changing my mind after reading this book, because it seems perhaps Ms. Leigh has gotten her mojo back, at least for me, in this new series.
