REVIEW: The Bastard King by Donna Grant
Veena’s review of The Bastard King (The Bastard Duology, Book 1) by Donna Grant
Romantic Fantasy published by DL Grant LLC 14 Oct 24
This story fits into the Dragon King universe but is a standalone, though I would not recommend reading it as a total standalone since many characters from the other books in the Dragon Kings series are referenced here, and readers might be lost without the context.
Derek saw Kora and was fascinated, despite his will, and ends up saving her life. Kora lives for vengeance and enters an uneasy alliance with Derek in pursuit of her goals, little realizing that he is one of the people she seeks vengeance from.
REVIEW: The Mirror by Nora Roberts
Sandy M’s review of The Mirror (Lost Bride Trilogy, Book 2) by Nora Roberts
Paranormal Romance published by St. Martin’s Press 19 Nov 24
I wish I could wait the two to three years needed for Ms. Roberts to release any trilogy, all so I can read them back to back. Alas, I just can’t do it. I have to delve full force into any of her books as it hits the shelves. So now it’s another year before we get the final book in this series, and I’ll be like the rest of her fans, on pins and needles until I have it in hand to find out what happens with Sonya and Trey.

Sandy M’s review of While We Were Watching Downton Abbey by Wendy Wax
Contemporary Women’s Fiction published by Berkley 2 Apr 13
I’ve read a few Wendy Wax books in the past and always enjoyed them. So though this is an older title of hers, it is the title itself that intrigued me – I was one of those glomming every episode of Downton Abbey during its heyday. So to visit this era again from a totally different perspective called to me.
