HelenKay Dimon has a trio of sexy brothers you’re just going to love, and she shared a little about them in her Duck Chat with us – plus a lot of other fun stuff! – not too long ago. I think I’m going to be a Callan fan. How about you??
REVIEW: And then She Fell by Stephanie Laurens
Veena’s review of And Then She Fell (Cynster Sisters Duo, Book 1) by Stephanie Laurens
Historical Romance published by Avon 26 Mar 13
For years Cynster males defined Regency heroes for me. Those brave, strong, silent warrior males who recognized what they wanted instantly and then spent the rest of the book winning their lady love and following the ritual of easing them into the ton and Cynster family. In her new series of books, Stephanie Laurens introduces us to those heroes’ sisters, who are equally adept at navigating the social whirl to create their own love stories. Henrietta Cynster was content in her role as the ton’s matchbreaker by using her impeccable connections to help young ladies navigate their way around the rakes and fortune hunters. Fate and a necklace are not content to leave her be and love sneaks in and steals her heart when she isn’t looking.

REVIEW: Fever by Maya Banks
Sandy M’s review of Fever (Breathless Trilogy, Book 2) by Maya Banks
Contemporary Erotic Romance published by Berkley Trade 2 Apr 13
Fever is the perfect word for the title of this book. From the beginning, when Jace spies Bethany at his sister’s engagement party, there is a feverishness to his want of her, his need of her, his care of her, his possession of her, his control of her, even his love for her that eventually knocks him off his axis. Jace has a lot of emotions and out-of-character situations to overcome in this journey, and I love him all the more for choosing and sticking by Bethany.
REVIEW: Angelopolis by Danielle Trussoni
Veena’s review of Angelopolis (Angel Trilogy, Book 2) by Danielle Trussoni
Fantasy published by Viking Adult 26 Mar 13
I was offered this book to read specifically to write a review. I wasn’t familiar with the author’s work and had not read the first book in the trilogy. I picked it up thinking it was a typical paranormal romance, but what I found was an unexpected gem that skillfully blends history, biblical lore, myths and ever day traditions to create a mesmerizing tale. I assure you it’s Easter, but I will not be viewing Easter eggs in the same way I viewed them before I read this book. Nalini Singh, in her Guild Hunter series, presents a view of Angels who are cruel and capricious, but this book takes Angelology to a whole different level.
REVIEW: Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh
Sandy M’s review of Tangle of Need (Psy/Changeling Series, Book 11) by Nalini Singh
Paranormal Romance published by Berkley 4 Dec 12
I finally put everything else aside and read this book. There are a few series out there that I refuse to get too far behind on. There are a couple I have done that with and I’m quite unhappy about it. But I have to have a Changeling fix, it’s just one of those things.
REVIEW: Her Man in Manhattan by Trish Wylie
LynneC’s review of Her Man in Manhattan by Trish Wylie
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Kiss 19 Mar 13
This is another entry in the Kiss line, and this one reads like a refugee from the Intrigue or Romantic Suspense line. It’s a bodyguard story, one of my favorite tropes, but this one didn’t do it for me, I’m afraid.
REVIEW: The Heart of A Hero by Janet Chapman
Veena’s review of The Heart of a Hero (Spellbound Falls, Book 4) by Janet Chapman
Fantasy Romance published by Jove 05 Mar 13
Those of you who visit this blog and have chanced to read one of my earlier reviews on the Spellbound series know that I have Sandy M to thank for my discovery of this author and series. I can only echo my earlier sentiments as I read this delightful book.
GUEST BLOG: Chemistry, Take Two by Anne Calhoun
It’s the must have component of every romance novel, the chemistry that makes what’s happening between the hero and heroine special, unique to their HEA. It’s the thing we can’t explain, the reason why your heart flutters when one man walks into a room but not another, the reason why you want that man right now over anyone else. It’s intangible, related to pheromones and hormones and something we can’t define. It never lasts and always lasts, and if you can act on it, it will change your life. Abby Simmons, the heroine in my current release Uncommon Pleasure, has some wicked good chemistry with her hero, Lieutenant Sean Winthrop. Read on for a sample of that attraction!
