How much work are you willing to do for free books? Right now we’re doing the Bingeaduckia Event. One of the contests we have going on is Rowena’s Scavenger Hunt. Each day of the 7 days of the event, Rowena gives you a list of things to do. At the end of the week we’ll choose one winner who particpated each day and they’ll get a prize pack chock full of books.
What do you think? Is finding the answer to 3 or 4 questions each day worth the chance to win 7 books? Sometimes it’s really hard to find a good balance between the prize and what you have to do to win it. I think in this case the work is worth the prize, don’t you?. If I could enter I would (heh).
Here’s the list of prizes you can win:
Here’s what we have to award the winner of the Scavenger Hunt:
* Seduction at Christmas
* Alluring Tales 2: Hot Holiday Nights
* Bedding Down
* Suite 606
* Double the Pleasure
* Unlaced
* The Magical Christmas Cat
Seems to me for that prize pack you’d be willing to do a lot more than just answer a few questions each day, right?
Tell me, what are you willing to do for free books? Leave a comment and then go play in the scavenger hunt!
The tasks so far:
Bingeaduckia Scavenger Hunt: Day 1
Bingeaduckia Scavenger Hunt: Day 2
Bingeaduckia Scavenger Hunt: Day 3
Bingeaduckia Scavenger Hunt: Day 4
Bingeaduckia Scavenger Hunt: Day 5
Dude – I’d do it. And I recently threw in my hat in the kindle contests – of course I didn’t win. (But a pond visitor/regular did, I think!) I did, however, pass up another chance which required buying a book. ๐ So I think it’s not so much the work for me – as much as… what the terms are?
Cannot explain. Head about to explode.
I’d do it. ^_^
@Lime: Author Island is having a Kindle contest. I plan to enter.
I love doing scavenger hunts – so to me it is not hard work. Scavenger hunts gives me an opportunity to find authors that I have never read before.
I did the kindle contests too!!
If the prize is worth it, a hunting I will go, lol.
Lime, I was so surprised, and happy, to see I won that Kindle, and 38 Samhain ebooks, too. I was posting everyday but almost forgot to do the SC, and the one I won I did very last minute – that’s me, late to the party and last-minute, but it sure paid off this time.
Pam – I think it’s fantabulous! Congratulations! ๐ I didn’t post on the dailies, but did enter the kindle contests, lol. I won nothing – such is life. I hope your kindle is 10 kinds of wonderful ๐
Liv – I saw. I plan on entering too, b/c hope springs eternal! ๐ There was another kindle contest that ended yesterday that req’d purchasing some book.
Yay for Kindle contests! Y’know, since I totally can’t afford one.
Lime,
I agree, it does depend on what you have to do and the prize. I probably would have bought a book for a chance to win a Kindle, though.
Liv/Lime,
I don’t know if you saw, but Books on Board is holding a contest right now for a Sony Reader. ๐
Pam,
CONGRATS!!
That Samhain contest was huge. I really enjoyed being part of it, and I got a lot of goodwill, too. Not to mention website hits.
Angie James sorted it all out. That woman is a powerhouse, I really don’t know how she does it.
