Duck ChatThis is Meagan and Luke as you’ve never seen them before between the pages of this series. What drove Meagan into the world of BDSM that she’s now convinced Abby to write a blog to help other submissive women find answers that will help guide their choices.

Luke has played with Abby and Nathaniel and taken pictures with which they’ve decorated their playroom, but this book introduces us to Luke the photographer and dominant that we’ve never seen before, who will take Meagan on an unforgettable journey. Unfortunately with a nasty blackmailer thrown into the mix, will she be able to hold on to what she now has with Luke, which is so much stronger than what they had when they both first dabbled together and discovered BDSM?

Summary:

She’s ready for her close-up. . . .

Meagan Bishop gave up modeling after an ill-fated tryst with a sexy photographer left her career and heart in shambles. When that same sexy shutterbug makes a titillating offer to do a BDSM spread for his new photography book, she’s determined to refuse—until an anonymous blackmailer entices her to accept. Now her body is again at the whim of the man who broke her heart, and she’s finding his strong direction undeniably intriguing. . . .

Meagan is the muse Luke needs to make his shoot something special, even if it means keeping his hands off her. But each new erotic scene they capture makes it harder to ignore his need to command her in the bedroom as well as in the studio.

As their sexual tension explodes, Meagan’s arrangement with her extortionist becomes more perilous, putting in danger her darkest secrets and the fragile passion between Luke and her. . . .

DUCK CHAT: If you could retire any interview question and never, ever have it asked again, what would it be? Feel free to answer it.

TARA SUE ME: Tell us something about yourself that no one knows. Trust me, after ten books, I have no secrets left! Pretty soon I’ll have to start making things up.

DC: I’ve heard writers often say their stories take them in surprising directions, or dialogue flows from some unknown place. Is it the same with you? Do your characters surprise you sometimes?

TSM: All the time! This is one of the things that makes writing so fun, I never know what’s going to happen. Even if I have a scene completely plotted out (which rarely happens) a character will do or say something that changes everything. I’ve learned it’s best not to argue (I never win) and just to go along with it.

Book CoverDC: Has your Submissive series evolved as you originally envisioned it when you first began writing about Nathaniel and Abby?

TSM: Oh, yes! The Submissive was an exercise to see if I could write smut! If you’d have told me then I’d one day be writing BOOK 10, I’d have laughed in your face.

DC: Do you ever argue with your characters while you’re writing? Who usually wins?

TSM: OMG, YES! I have the world’s bossiest characters! They’re always doing or saying things I don’t think they should. And when I tell them that, they get all smug and are like, “Fine, but you know you’re going to do it our way eventually. Why don’t you save us all some time?”

DC: What is sure to distract you from sitting down and working/writing?

TSM: The internet. All of it.

Book CoverDC: What has been your favorite book cover from all of your releases and why?

TSM: Hands down, The Master. It’s just perfect. I love everything about it. And the way that bottom petal curls up?  Sigh.

DC: How about your least favorite book cover?  Why?

I really don’t have a least favorite. I’ve been very fortunate with my covers. They’re all great.

Book CoverDC: Would you tell us a bit about Luke and Meagan from The Exposure and how their story began?

Meagan and Luke met 15 years ago when he photographed her for a magazine cover. After the shoot was over, he asked her out and they ended up having a hot affair.  But he broke her heart and she wants nothing to do with him. Or so she says….

DC: How do you feel your male or female characters have evolved over your career? Do you think you write them differently now than you did when you started?

TSM: I don’t knowingly do anything different. I always put myself in the character’s head and write based on that. I hope I’ve gotten better at it!

DC: Is there a genre you haven’t tackled but would like to try?

TSM: I’d love to write a thriller. When I’m not reading romance, you’ll find me reading a thriller.

DC: Which fictional character would you like to hang out with?

TSM: If we’re talking about my fictional characters, it would have to be Cole. And that’s only due in part to the fact that in my mind, he’s David Gandy.

If we’re talking about other people’s fictional characters, I’d have to say Scarlett O’Hara from Gone with the Wind, so I could smack her and say, “Seriously, girl, what were you thinking?”

DC: What advice would you give to your younger self?

TSM: I’m a people pleaser who HATES conflict, so I’d probably tell myself that no is a perfectly good answer. And if I can’t say no, then to copy E B White and say, “I must decline, for secret reasons.”

DC: What is the best thing about being a full-time romance author? What’s the most challenging?

TSM : I get to write love stories. Everyday! There’s no better job than that!

The most challenging is trying to balance everything: work vs. family, the art of writing vs. the business of publication, butt in chair working vs. being on social media.

DC: What’s on the schedule next for The Submissive series?

TSM: I’m finishing up Simon and Lynne’s story (The Flirtation) and I really want to write Fritz and Kate!

DC: What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever learned by Googling your name?

TSM: There’s an account on weheartit that has the name Tara Sue Me and it’s not me. I also get a kick out of sites that say they have a pdf file of a work I haven’t finished.

DC: What book would you like to read again for the first time?

TSM: Outlander, because Jamie.

DC: What romance book would you recommend our readers pick up during their next bookstore run?

TSM: Fever by Maya Banks. I love the way she brings together a homeless heroine and a billionaire.

Book CoverDC: Do you have any works in progress aside from The Submissive series?

TSM: I have a new series starting in April 2017. It starts with Master Professor, it’s about a BDSM academy set on an island in the Pacific Northwest.

And in 2018 I’ll have something totally new!

DC: If you had never become an author, what do you think you would be doing right now?

TSM: I’d probably still be working in the Pharmaceutical Industry. I graduated with a science degree.
