Don’t Say A Word by Rita Herron
review by Connie
Jane Doe in a rehab facility look like a person who found dead. Our hero is a tortured soul who tries to help her figure out who she is while helping a brother accused of murder.
Groomed by a covert group of elite killers, Damon left the secret society to join the FBI after a mission went brutally wrong and an innocent woman died.
When his brother is arrested for murder, Damon investigates and finds a “Jane Doe” who holds the key to the case, along with a darker terror—one that threatens to expose Damon’s deadly secrets and destroy them all.
Despite the danger, he’s drawn to the nameless beauty, igniting a passion that burns hot between them. But with a madman out to silence her forever, Damon knows he must deny their love. And to stop the man responsible, he must return to the one place he has desperately tried to leave behind—the dark shadows of a killer’s mind.…
I have read Rita Herron before and liked her, which is a large reason why I wanted to read Don’t Say A Word. She is a great writer and consistently gives readers a good suspense story.
Once again she doesn’t disappoint and enjoyed the novel. The only real issue I had with the novel is the ‘face problem’. I would tell you more but I don’t want to give it away. You’ll see when you get to the end. Something that should be noted is the romance isn’t very strong. In fact it was rather weak but I felt the ‘suspense’ part made up for the lack of chemistry. If you are looking for a large dose of ‘romance’ in your Romantic Suspense, this isn’t the book to rush out and buy.
