Publishers often say: if there was a market we would love to print more westerns. Authors often say: if there were publishers buying them I would write one. And readers often say: If they print them we will buy! There are some of us who cry a river for more westerns. We buy up any copies we see of OOP, must have classics, to share with other people who just don’t know what they too should be missing!
But never fear… the West Shall be Won!
A group of writers have formed a posse to help the western find a home and the western fan find a place to hang our hat. The new site:
will be solely devoted to western romance, contemporary and historical. This will be THE go-to site for western romance!
Linda Broday, Pam Crooks, Geralyn Dawson, Lorraine Heath, Karen Kay, Stacey Kayne, Elizabeth Lane, Pat Potter, Charlene Sands and Cheryl St.John are the ten authors who are bringing the western back. The main attraction (besides the books, do note LORRAINE HEATH AND PAT POTTER are there… just say *g*) will be a blog that will featuring all 10 authors. They will be blogging daily, as well as having guest bloggers.
Now they all need to tell us about their new westerns coming out in 2008. Right? ::crosses fingers:: Just in case anyone is looking for suggestions… allow me to end this post with two words:
Rawley Cooper
oh and just a note… Cheryl St.John wants to make sure you don’t miss the best part of the site *g*:
“I’m excited about the launch of Petticoats and Pistols. We are doing our part to bring westerns and western information to those readers we know are out there wanting more. Has anyone mentioned our sexy cowboy jigsaw puzzle?”
