Our second Harlequin Historical guest is Elizabeth Lane.
She almost wins the the title of Harlequin Historical author “I have the most books to be read”, in case you are wondering she falls shy a few book of Nicola Cornick and Lynna Banning. Lydia, Shawnee Bride, Christmas Gold, Wyoming Wild Cat, Wyoming Woman and Wyoming Wildfire all have a home on my Harlequin Historical bookcase. Yes I have a bookcase full of just HH, don’t you?
Looking at her website I have really only read three, well for if you count The Stranger which I am reading now of her books. And so really I have quite a backlist to find!
They aren’t all Harlequin Historicals, Elizabeth Lane has about six books that were written in the 80’s. Reading the summaries I go back and forth between wow that’s different and wow bet that book is depressing as hell. 🙂 maybe she we be nice and let us know if they are worth tracking down. So they too can gather dust with the other 2000 backlisted books I have to have!
Either way with her background she really needs to get to work and bring us a Harlequin Historical set in China! Hmmm would that be a first? Anyone know?
China? That may be a first for a setting. Now, there are Chinese characters…somebody will have to help me remember this one…I think it was called China Star and it was by–um–I want to say Sandra Canfield, but can that be right? I googled it but couldn’t find a cover. I’ll bet I have one packed away. I had a Chinese secondary character in one of my historicals.
Sybil and Elizabeth – a big thank you for this author day! I’ve never read a book by Elizabeth Lane. In fact I don’t remember seeing any; somehow she escaped my radar. And I thought I had read at least one of all Western Historical Authors. So – I new author to try. I love it!
