Beware a Scot’s Revenge (School for Heiresses) by Sabrina Jeffries
Lady Venetia Campbell’s visit to her childhood home of Scotland takes a dramatic turn when she’s kidnapped at pistol-point by her father’s sworn enemy. Sir Lachlan Ross is widely feared in his guise as The Scottish Scourge, but Venetia remembers her former neighbor as a handsome youth whose attentions she craved. Now a wickedly sexy man, Lachlan’s appeal is even more intoxicating…and much more dangerous. Though Lachlan tries to treat her as his foe, his scorching kisses tell another story. And despite his plan is to use her as a weapon against her father, Venetia is determined that Lachlan’s lust for revenge will be trumped by an even more powerful desire…
Why yes it is Simon & Schuster day today. Didn’t you get the memo?
It is no secret that I heart just about all of Sabrina Jeffries books. So it is should be lil to no surprise I want this book. For those of you just joining in, this is the 3rd in her current series: The School for Heiresses.
Another thing I adore about Jeffries (besides the books) is her website rocks. She breaks down her books – generally after release – like Inside Scoop. And gives nifty facts about the book, the time period and news about the book.
Sabrina also gives some info on the Cover Process and Cover Secrets, as well as links to We Really Dig Romance (all the info you would want on covers). I randomly found Alan Ayer’s site one day (oddly enough not through WRDR although it is there) and if you look he did a few of SJ most recent stepbacks. No clue if he did this one or not. Either way… way pretty and worth going over for a looksee.
what’s funny about Jeffries is that she still posts on the Avon Authors board despite the fact that she moved to Pocket a while ago.
I really want Mrs Harris and Cousin Michael’s story. I hope I am still alive when it finally gets published. . . . in 2009
Ooooh…I didn’t know there was a target date for Mrs. Harris and Cousin Michael’s story! YAY!
Of course, I’m looking forward to this one too. I haven’t read a good Scotland-set story lately. :o)
seton – that is funny. I wonder why she moved then. I assume more $$ but who knows.
Sybil, you are making me more poor with all these books on here!
Lucky for you I was kidding cathie… it doesn’t come out until the 22 of May.
Oops sorry!
Wow! May 22nd, so soon! I’ve been waiting forever for this book. I’ve been waiting so long that I just assumed that, like some hellish punishment, it would be dangling in front of me for an eternity. And Mrs. Harris and Cousin Michael are getting a story too? Oh goodie! Now I have something else to forward to. Sigh, will it ever end? … I complain but I pray that it doesn’t.
