Ashs iconOkay, so, about me…let’s see. I love reading, I love books, I love holding books, buying books, sharing books, and even just looking at my books.

Some of my favorite memories of growing up are sitting  with my mother reading. Her with her romance books, whose covers I was fascinated by (it was totally the holograms in the corner, not the half-naked men), and me with an R. L. Stine book.

Book CoverBook CoverI was 12 when my sister gave me Interview With a Vampire, and I realized there was more outside of Fear Street. It’s always been about paranormals for me.  Eventually I discovered that all romance was not full of oiled up men in ripped shirts and that now shares my heart just as much as paranormals. Put them together and I am one happy girl.

I am a sucker for friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, tortured heroes, tortured heroines, arranged marriages (which I admit is weird because I am not big on historicals, unless it’s set in Scotland, I love me some men in kilts), trapped in a cabin/island, and, wow, I could go on and on.

What I hate to read about is children in books (I have one of my own, thanks, books are my break from kids lol), pets that play a huge roll, whiny heroes/heroines, big misunderstandings, h/H can’t get over dead ex, series that should have ended 15 books ago, and again I could go on with this list.

As a reviewer, I am still getting use to being able to be…true. After reviewing at a place where I had to censor myself, I’m still trying to find a balance. How to be honest with my feelings without being mean. Hopefully I have been doing it pretty well, and if not I am sorry. Coming here has been freeing and I am pretty sure that is why I can’t say no to Sybil and my pile of books to review is getting scary big.
