They asked a very important question on a group I’m on about it being a bit quiet and wondering what everyone was up too. After I answered I thought, “Hey! Good idea”
Simply Perfect by Mary Balogh (March 25). I was VERY surprised by how much I enjoyed this and VERY glad this is the end. Uh, I think…
Unlawul Contact by Pamela Clare (Apr 1). I finished this before I started Simply Perfect. In fact it was the reason I started Perfect because it dawned on me how much Romantic Suspense and Historical Fiction I had been reading I NEEDED some Historical Romance.
And than promptly reread Unlawful Contact. I really loved this book. I can so see some sticking points for some ::coughwendycough:: but I don’t know. I thought it was fab. Really can not wait to talk about this and am bouncing about for gwen to read her copy.
All For Love by Amanda Elyot
The Sixth Wife by Suzannah Dunn
NOTE: If you stare at them long enough they will not review themselves… I know! Shocked me too.
Just started:
Baddest Bad Boys by Shannon McKenna, E.C. Sheedy, and Cate Noble (May 08). I know you are jealous. Aren’t you. If you haven’t read Shannon’s newest Extreme Danger you need to and you should read E.C. Sheedy’s Kiss Tommorrow Goodbye just cuz I said to (and cuz amazon sez there are three left… quick go I wanna see it is true 🙂 ). And really I am not too sure yet who Cate Noble is yet. I have read Kate Noble who has a book coming out this month with Berkley. Same person?
Think it is purple in our honor? If not let’s just pretend it is ok. WoOT!
Shifter by Angela Knight, Lora Leigh, Alyssa Day, Virginia Kantra (March 08). I adore Angela Knight and Lora Leigh muchly! And where is Emma Holly? hmmm really where is Emma Holly, come to think of it I haven’t gotten her next book! HEY!
Re-reading
A Reason to Sin by Maureen McKade. This comes out March 4 and wraps up her WESTERN trilogy!!! This is gwen’s fault as most things are cuz she is reading this and I was jealous and started picked my copy up by she will be reviewing it I think so I will prolly not reread it all. Well unless I get my hands on an ecopy and you know read it at work. Err, if I were one to do such things.
Just got:
Klondike Fever by Kate Bridges. I have MUCH love for this cover book comes out April from Harlequin Historical.
And the book I am stalking the mailbox for, a.k.a. I will so kick two reader’s asses if they get their copies before me…
So, whatcha read’n?
Well I’ll consider my ass kicked, because Kevin’s book showed up a couple of days ago. But, um, I live pretty darn close to where said book was mailed from – so that’s probably why.
I’ve had sticking points with Clare’s romantic suspense before, so no big surprise there. I have vowed that I need to read some of her historicals this year though…..
And waaaahhhhh! You and Rosie and now Gwen have all read McKade’s latest! ::pout:: I’m hitting Borders this weekend so I’ll look, but dang I have the worst luck finding books prior to the release date. I think the bookstores hate me.
God damn it
::head desk:: that prolly means the other evol one has it toooooooooo
whine whine whine
I should have held your addresses until mine was mailed and given it a running start! What? Yes I am evol, I would have given to her at SOME point. ::pout::
Sybil,
Pamela Clare’s book is one I am dying to read. I really loved her previous works.
I just finished Mark of the Vampire Queen by Joey W. Hill and Unleashing the Storm by Sydney Croft. Next up is The Keeper of Eternity by Devyn Quinn
You can kick my ass, too, because yep, I got my copy. Tee hee. Started it last night….so far, so good. 🙂
Kisses and shit. 😛
I hate you kenny.
tee hee
*sigh* I ordered Grimspace yesterday but it won’t be shipped until next week because Amazon.com is out *sob*
In the mean time I’m working on Bloodfever–and I got three more books from Amazon to tide me over 🙂
I recently turned crazier and started writing reviews (blame lisabea) so I’ve been rereading books to review them. And last night I inhaled Strangers in Death instead of sleeping. And I read the 4 Psy/Changeling books last week. And a few old Justine Dare/Justine Davis that I discovered at the UBS near my house a couple of weeks ago. And I have the 150+ in the TBR mountain staring daggers at me…
you are in good company azteclady 😉
Now I have been slack and haven’t even answered in the group yet, but I have been busy, busy at work, and blogging, and reading a fair bit as well.
At the moment I am reading The Crystal Skull by Manda Scott, and An Ice Cold Grave by Charlaine Harris. In the last few days I have finished reading quite a few books. The last romance I read was Lord of Fire by Gaelen Foley, which I loved!
Just finished Lover Unbound. Still trying to wrap my head around the ghost thing. Just started Stranger in Paradise by Robert B. Parker.
After that, going to tackle some more of the books in my TBR pile — Patricia Briggs, Lilith Saintcrow, a bunch of Marjorie M. Liu …
Azteclady~You startin’ your own blog thingy?
I’ve got a STACK of books next to my compooper (who doesn’t) but Katie(babs) sent me THE dirtiest book…so…er….yeah. One of those black lace books. Name? Heck if I know….One Breath At A Time.
And of course I’m downloading Ally Blue’s new book.
Mmm-kaaay!
Ohh! Almost forgot what I’m doing here.
Reading A Reason to Sin. Pretty damn good book so far.
I think Jennifer Estep and I have cloned reading tastes. Love all the authors she mentions (her too).
Azteclady – as long as the reading keeps you off the streets. ‘Cause we know how you are. 😉
Lisabea, I’ve invaded Karen Scott’s blog *evil cackle*
erm…
well, sorta.
Gwen, I have no idea who you’ve been talking with! I’m all pure and innocent and demure and ladylike…
*dodging lightning strikes*
Aw … thanks Gwen! 🙂
