Doesn’t sound good. Although the idea of moving to an all online mag seems to make sense, says the chick who doesn’t know much about it.

I don’t see it happening, if for the only reason that it would piss off a bunch of librarians and booksellers. I, in theory, could use LJ and PW in an “all online” format but it would make my work flow a lot more cumbersome. And when you buy fiction for an 800 pound gorilla library system like I do – you want things to be as stream-lined as humanly possible.
Of course magazine sales and ad revenue has been dicey for the last several years – so anything is possible….
hmmmm well I think they were saying PW moving to online would make sense not so much LJ? But I didn’t get through all the links yet. And now I am for home.
But I can see your point and I don’t think anyone wants to be on the other side of a bunch of pissed off librarians.
Sybil: Yeah, me neither. There’s a whole mess of links there! It sort of read like pure speculation to me. Could they both work as online only? Probably. But man, there would be massive growing pains and a whole lotta bitchin’ me thinks.
