Breeds, Barbs and SEALs, Oh My!
Those are the three things that seem to come up the most when one talks to readers about Lora Leigh. Or if you are talking to KarenS, it is something to do with anal sex.
And there is that sharing thing, age thing, brother thing, the all sorts of things. Really if you look at the books and break them down, Lora Leigh has some really out there plots.
But some how they work, not always on all levels but Lora manages to capture the readers attention and often their hearts. We become involved with her characters and you want them to find their HEA.
Or maybe that is just me but I have a sneaky idea that she has a number of fans out there. Lora Leigh has gone from being one of Ellora’s Caves biggest sellers to a published author with somewhere around 8 books coming out in 2007 and the beginning of 2008.
You don’t do that without selling a few books. At least I would hope not *g*. If you have never read Lora Leigh, stick around we will be highlighting some of her books, have an interesting chat to post, some reviews, do a contest or two and Lora will be around to answer some questions (yes you can ask her about the anal thing karens, I have no clue if she will answer though *g*)
I’ve loved every Lora Leigh book I’ve read, and that is all of the published work! The first romance I ever read was ‘Sarah’s Seduction’ from her ‘Men of August’ series and I blushed the whole way through it, but went back for more as soon as I finished! LOL That was April 2006, and I’ve now read my way through the entire Lora Leigh library, which thankfully continues to grow thanks to this prolific author.
If asked, my favorite one is always the one about to release, or the one in my hands right now, but the Breeds, SEALs and Bound Hearts series are probably my very favorites. And Elizabeth’s Wolf just totally did it for me.
I recommend this author’s books every chance I get. I haven’t been disappointed yet. 🙂
I love Lora’s books. I first read August Heat, after that I was hooked. I doubt Lora Leigh could ever dissapoint me with one of her books.
I became a Lora Leigh fan after reading Elizabeth’s Wolf. (I also adopted a bunch of Marines.) Since that time, I have read everything by her that I could get my hands on.
While there are many of her plots that I can’t picture myself “in”, I find that I’m totally grabbed by the story anyway. Maybe that’s just evidence of how gifted a story teller she is.
All I can say is this — if you haven’t read something by her, you gotta go get some. If you have, go get the rest! It’s so worth it. If you’ve read it all, you’re probably like me and reread it often.
Here’s the icing on the cake – she is just one of the nicest, most accessible people you could ever talk to.
I started reading Lora’s books back in November when I picked up the Hot Spell anthology. Within a few weeks, I’d ran out an bought all the rest of her Breed books and I’ve spent the past 6 months making my way through her backlist. What’s amazing is that even with the sheer number of books she’s written, every story I’ve read has been fantastic!
Lora writes the best alpha heroes – sexy, dominant, and so full of love for their heroines it’s amazing. If you haven’t read her books, stop reading this and run to the bookstore!!!
I’m in the middle of reading Lora’s newest release “Forbidden Pleasure.” Like all the other LL’s books this one is hot hot hot. I constantly fall in love with her characters. My true weakness as a reader lies the characterization. Well written characters with all the real life quirks that makes them interesting is part of the reason Lora Leigh is a mandatory buy for me.
In my opinion LL’s books are the epitome of erotic romance. It isn’t just sex…. it isn’t just romance….. it’s a blend of emotion and sex that only heightens the romantic story between her characters and brings them to life in a way few other authors have managed to master.
Whenever someone tells me they want to try ebooks but aren’t sure where to start, I ALWAYS steer them to Lora’s Breed series and they ALWAYS end up buying and devouring every single one then move on to Lora’s other series.
I love the way Lora weaves her action packed plots. Her character development is excellent. I’m always in awe of her ability to out do herself. Needless to say, I’m so proud of her!!
Love!

My first Lora Leigh book was Marly’s Choice and like Jennifer Ray above, I spent most of the book with a red face. However, I was hooked. Totally and completely hooked. The next day after finishing Marly’s Choice I proceeded to buy every Men of August book as well as every breed book she had released.
Many, many books later, I can still honestly say that I love how Lora’s plots include alpha men and women with brains who aren’t afraid to get down and dirty with the men they love. She makes me feel the emotions of the characters and that says a lot. I can sit and think about a book after reading it and then can’t get it out of my head so much so that I have to go back and reread every book she puts out. JUST in case I missed something.
As for her breeds? I anticipate each breed story daily and can’t wait to see what she comes up with. Tanner’s Scheme can’t get here soon enough and I look forward to reading about new breed characters the more she writes. Each plot, each hero, and each heroine weaves their way into my heart and I can’t remember ever having read an author before that makes me feel this way.
