I, Toni Blake, have a confession to make. In addition to writing my big, super-sexy mainstream romances, for the past three and a half years, I’ve also been writing erotica as Lacey Alexander.

I’ve kept it pretty quiet for myriad reasons – among them a contract that required me to do so – but now I’m finally “coming out of the closet” in the romance community : )

I know some people will be really surprised by this news, and of course, some people will think, “Yeah, I already knew that,” and still others will think, “Eh, what’s the big deal?” But if you fall into the first group, this announcement is for you : )

I know that as both Toni and Lacey, I have many of the same people on my mailing lists, and that sometimes the same reviewers review my books. So it’s been a difficult secret to keep and I’m so pleased to be able to share it now.

For anyone who is interested in my “double life” and all the whys and hows about it, I will be blogging about it in-depth at Squawk Radio on May 1. And in the meantime, you may see a small article about it in the May issue of Romantic Times.

And if you’re thinking – hey, what’s so different about these books that you wrote them under a whole different name? – well, trust me, Lacey Alexander books ARE very different than Toni Blake books. Mostly, I want to thank everyone – readers, reviewers, authors, romance site owners – for their continued support of both my sexy romances and my erotica novels! Writing as two people has allowed me to come into contact with so many more wonderful people than I ever could have otherwise, and that’s one of the greatest parts about being in this business – the great connections I make with nice people.
