For the first time ever Harlequin has decided to find their own manly men. They are tired of what the modeling agencies have to offer, so like any smart woman they are taking the matter into their own hands and and going hunting.
Deborah Peterson, who is with Harlequin (out of their Toronto office) said they decided to give an open call a shot because:
… what we’re finding is the models we’re getting from the casting agencies are getting progressively younger and younger, and skinnier and skinnier.”
And really who can ask for better promo… they have sent out mass e-mail invitations to the audition and are doing advertising on radio stations.
The event will take place all day Saturday at a casting agency in the Queen and Parliament street area.
So you think you got what it takes? Hmmm are there even any men who read this blog? No? Well if you KNOW of any manly men, who want to be on a cover of a romance novel and can go to Toronto to audition – let them know that Harlequin wants them.
Full story can be found here….
I’m glad they are doing that. I have noticed that the male models are looking way too pretty.
I read this article today. It was front page! So it must have been a slow newsday. I say bravo, Harlequin. We can never have too many manly men. 🙂
