The Perfect Fit: Fat-Free Dreams Just Don\'t Taste the Same
The Perfect Fit by Louise Kean

Sunny Weston always wanted to be perfect . . . and that meant being thin. Now, after what seemed like a million years on the treadmill—and a million miles from the nearest brownie—she finally fits into those slinky black dresses she’s been eyeing for years.

But being a perfect size doesn’t necessarily equal a perfect life. Suddenly Sunny’s best friends are all bitter and jealous. She’s become a stranger in her own body. And though her longtime work crush, Adrian, is finally her boyfriend, she’s totally confused now that charming, daringly dapper Cagney has appeared on the scene. Worst of all, she’s worried that the recipe for a happy life might not be low-calorie after all.

Maybe it’s time for Sunny to discover that the true secret to happiness isn’t constantly feeling hollow.

There is a review up at Romance Reader @ Heart.

This is one of those books where I can’t decide if I want to read it or not because the subject hits just a touch too close to home. I have come to the understanding I will never be happy with my weight. Ever.

I am one of those people. Of course it should shock no one that I am perfectly neurotic. I would guess more than half the women of the world are, well at least about their weight. Hey maybe I should read this book.

I would say it is women’s fic with a romance for flavor (it ends with hope, uh don’t ask me how I know this, tra la la). Do let me know if you try it. Or have any thoughts on it. There is an interesting interview with the author at the Harper site. And will oddly tie back into another subject I touched in the Oscar post [will post more on later]. I love it when that happens.
