I have mad respect for authors and the position they are in to pimp their books. Self promotion has got to be hard. Knowing what does and doesn’t work is mostly trial and error, somethings will work better for some authors and not at all for another.

Sugar Daddy
Some promo annoys me. Some of it amuses me. But more often than not, promo by authors just doesn’t register on my radar. In my March Borders monthly newsletter they have a link to this:

Lisa pimps Sugar Daddy

I have to admit, this wouldn’t move me to buy a book but as a fan I think it is nifty. Oh and that isn’t the title of the link if anyone is wondering *g*. I do have to question why her clip isn’t on the front page of their Border’s Media page.

?
Are they listed by popularity? Does the publisher have to pay for it? The cynical voice in my head wants to say it is because she is just a ROMANCE author.

Anyone know for sure? Is it there and I just don’t see it? Or is The Carrot Principle by Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton, released in January, more popular? And if that is the case, good for them.

If you don’t know… anyone happen to see where the hell the email address is to ask? I can’t find one. We need one so we can all email and find out *g*.
