REVIEW: Unbroken by Jay Crownover
Sandy M’s review of Unbroken (Loveless, Texas, Book 1) by Jay Crownover
Contemporary Romance published by Forever Yours 14 May 19
I began with the second book in this series, not realizing it is a series. I loved Case Lawton, brother to our hero here, Crew. Loved the heroine, Aspen, too, but Jay Crownover knows how to write hot, sexy, and tormented cowboys. So the heroes make this series for me.
REVIEW: A Duke in Disguise by Cat Sebastian
Stevie‘s review of A Duke in Disguise (The Regency Impostors, Book 2) by Cat Sebastian
Bisexual Historical Romance published by Avon Impulse 09 Apr 19
Any book that references a specific, preferably lesser known, episode of civil unrest from the 18th or 19th Century is going to score points with me. So I was happy to see this one, set mostly in the bookselling and publishing area of Holywell Street in London, referencing the Pentrich Rising of 1817. Of course the location and setting was a great inducement for me to keep reading as well. Verity Plum runs a bookseller’s and printer’s shop with her more radical brother, and lets out rooms to struggling authors and artists. When her great friend and on-off lodger Ash – John Ashby – returns for the first time in four years, in search of a temporary place to stay, she enlists his help in keeping her brother from being arrested due to his support of the would-be rebels arrested around Pentrich.

Romantic Suspense published by HQN Books 12 Aug 19
Ever since I discovered Ms. Martin, I’ve done my best to grab all her books that I can find. I enjoy her brand of action, adventure, and romance with characters that I’d want to be friends with.
REVIEW: The Ring by Sandi Lynn
Sandy M’s review of The Ring by Sandi Lynn
Contemporary Romance published by Sandi Lynn Romance 20 Sep 19
It was the simplicity of the title and cover of this book that drew my attention. Then the blurb added to the intrigue and I decided to give The Ring a try. This is my first book by Sandi Lynn. She’s got a load of books in her backlist, and she’s self-published those books, a number of them in a year’s time here and there. I’m thinking self-publishing isn’t for everyone.
REVIEW: Highland Captive by Alyson McLayne
Veena’s review of Highland Captive (Sons of Gregor Macleod, Book 4) by Alyson McLayne
Historical Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 30 Jul 19
Over the years I’ve gravitated away from historical romance, but lately I don’t seem to find contemporary romantic suspense that appeals. So I’ve been dipping back into a genre I once enjoyed. Fortunately, I’ve come across some gems that have rekindled my enjoyment in this genre, as well as some new authors to my list.
REVIEW: Colliding Hearts by L.M. Connolly
Stevie‘s review of Colliding Hearts (Hearts on Fire, Book 3) by L.M. Connolly
Contemporary Romance published by Tule Publishing Group 19 Aug 19
I’ve been enjoying this series about three very different but equally successful men, who share an absent – and now deceased – mother. This time around, we meet the sibling no one knew about before the series began: Daniel, the first child that Evangeline Miller abandoned in her quest for fame, fortune, and adoration. Daniel McCord has always known he was adopted and enjoys a close relationship with the parents who raised him, as well as the rest of their family, so he’s not particularly bothered to learn about his blood relatives, even if one half-brother designed his favourite marque of sports car – of which he owns an example – and the other is planning to make an offer on a building Daniel has an interest in. Daniel’s more immediate concern is the well-being of his younger sister, whom is undergoing the last round of treatment following breast cancer, and what to do about his sister’s best friend, soon to arrive in town with no one to meet her at the airport since Daniel’s sister got held up at the hospital.
REVIEW REVISIT: Wicked Little Game by Christine Wells

If you’ve seen the movie “Indecent Proposal“, the first few chapters of this book are going to seem a bit familiar. When I read the excerpt, I wanted to read this book to see how Wells would work things out. Just the idea of a man wanting to pay an overly large amount of money to spend the night with another man’s wife is an intriguing concept. What happens after the night is over is where this story diverges from Hollywood. read more…
REVIEW: Sweet Spot by Susan Mallery
Sandy M’s review of Sweet Spot (Keyes Sisters, Book 2) by Susan Mallery
Contemporary Romance audiobook published by Harlequin Books 1 Aug 08
Though I began with the second book in this series, that makes no difference when it comes to the Keyes sisters. Each is delightful in their own right, and I enjoyed every minute of this audiobook about Nicole and Hawk.
REVIEW: Just His Luck by B.J. Daniels
Dinca’s review of Just His Luck (Sterlings’ Montana, Book 3) by B.J. Daniels
Romantic Suspense published by HQN 27 Aug 19
A romance with a dead woman talking is not typical. It’s more of a mystery/who done it with a love angle thrown in. I enjoyed the storyline of this book. It is definitely a story worth reading.
REVIEW: Wild, Wounded Hearts by Beth Kery
Sandy M’s review of Wild, Wounded Hearts (Wild Hearts, Book 2) by Beth Kery
Contemporary Erotic Romance published by Amazon Digital Services 26 Jul 19
I hoped this second book in Ms. Kery’s Wild Hearts series would be a step up from the first. This time around we join the youngest and fragile Esterbrook sister and the wild, dominant Beckett brother as they discover and explore the forbidden heat between them. They can barely contain their emotions, so how can they expect their family to welcome a relationship they’re not sure will work?
