Ivan is a Russian crime boss who has left behind his roots and settled in the US, working as a covert operative with the CIA. Collision Point, the earlier book in the series, features Ivan’s daughter’s story and serves to introduce Journey, aka Crymsyn, who fascinates Ivan, despite being considerably younger than him and his daughter’s friend to boot. Ivan had sworn off serious relationships given his past and Journey has her own reasons for constantly being on the run and off the grid. Is there a future for these two?

REVIEW: Worth Fighting For by Wendy Qualls
Stevie‘s review of Worth Fighting For (Heart of the South, Book 3) by Wendy Qualls
Contemporary Gay Romance published by Lyrical Shine 14 Aug 18
I’ve been aware of this series before, but with the two previous books it was definitely a case of ‘too much to read and too little time.’ The blurb for this one, however, really spoke to me, and so I got hold of a review copy with great anticipation. The story stands up well outside of the series; there are some characters who may be familiar to readers of the previous book, but the main focus is very much on Sterling, Jericho, and Sterling’s daughter, Alexa, who is the driving force behind the events of the book.
REVIEW: SEAL’s Honor by Megan Crane
Sandy M’s review of SEAL’s Honor (Alaska Force, Book 1) by Megan Crane
Contemporary Romance published by Berkley 6 Nov 18
My first Megan Crane book…did not go well. I like the premise of the book and I definitely like the over-the-top men of Alaska Force. But Blue and Everly never gelled for me, I never warmed up to either of them to find out what their happily ever after would be like.

REVIEW: Solace Island by Meg Tilly
Sandy M’s review of Solace Island (Solace Island, Book 1) by Meg Tilly
Contemporary Romance published by Berkley 6 Nov 18
This is my first Meg Tilly book. While I had a couple of small issues with it, for the most part Solace Island is a good story that kept my interest and made me laugh out loud, which doesn’t happen for me very often while reading. Since this is Ms. Tilly’s first romance, I’m now definitely looking forward to Book 2.
DDS REVIEW: Daughters of Beasts by T.S. Joyce
Tabs’ Duckies Do Series Review of Daughters of Beasts (Books 1 & 2) by T.S. Joyce
Paranormal Romance published by Wicked Willow Press
A few years ago, my entire Twitter feed seemed to be glomming these wacky shifter books on Kindle Unlimited by T.S. Joyce. There were a bazillion of them, they all had similar covers and titles, and they looked like every other cheesy shifter book out there. Except, they were magic. read more…
REVIEW: Declan by Chris Keniston
Dinca’s review of Declan (Farraday Country, Book 4) by Chris Keniston
Contemporary Romance published by Indie House Publishing 30 Nov 16
One of the best lines ever is written in this book. You will have to read the story for yourself to figure out what it is, however.
The Farraday Country series is still going strong. I usually start to lose interest in this long a series by now, but Ms. Keniston’s characters are so developed, you can’t resist any of them.

Contemporary Romantic Comedy published by Jackie Lau Books 22 May 18
I love a grumpy bear hero, one of my favourite types. I’ve seen a couple of good reviews for this book, so I was sold. This story is adorable and reaffirmed my love of the grumpy hero.

REVIEW: Fight or Flight by Samantha Young
Sandy M’s review of Fight or Flight by Samantha Young
Contemporary Romance published by Berkley 9 Oct 18
I know I say this with every Samantha Young book I review, but she’s become an absolute favorite of mine. She never fails to push the emotional envelope, and this story will leave you with such deep heartache. It’s all worth it in the end, however, because we know that happily ever after is on its way, despite what Caleb Scott believes.
