REVIEW: Rescued by Christmas by Erika Marks
Stevie‘s review of Rescued by Christmas by Erika Marks
Contemporary Holiday Romance published by Tule Publishing 25 Sep 18
Romances in which one protagonist is the only person who fails to recognise the other protagonist as a current A-list celebrity require a hefty suspension of disbelief. Which, fortunately, I can manage far better when it comes to Christmas stories than with those set at almost any other time of the year. Of course, the rest of the story has to hang together with some reasonable degree of logic in order to allow that one big glaring plot hole. It’s one thing to realise after the fact that the person who looked oddly like someone famous as you passed them in the street is indeed that star, but quite another to spend time with them and still not realise – especially in this internet and information age. This book’s heroine, however, is far too busy to follow online gossip, or any other kind for that matter.
REVIEW: Mistletoe in Mayhem by L.E. Rico
Sandy M’s review of Mistletoe in Mayhem (Whiskey Sisters Boxed Set) by L.E. Rico
Contemporary Romance published by Entangled: Bliss 12 Nov 18
I have found a new author I know I’m going to enjoy for a long time to come. Though this is not the beginning of the Whiskey Sisters series, I don’t care one bit. I absolutely love L.E. Rico’s writing and her characters, and I look forward to reading the first two books in this series as soon as possible.
REVIEW: Toxic Desire by Robin Lovett
Sammy’s review of Toxic Desire (Planet Of Desire, Book 1) by Robin Lovett
Sci-Fi Erotic Romance published by Macmillan 19 Mar 18
It’s been a hot minute since I have read a Sci-Fi romance, let alone an erotic one! Put them together and this book was one hell of a ride. It reminded me why I love Sci-Fi and erotica. Spaceship fights, aliens, strange planets, survival, shipwrecks, as well as enemies to lovers, make this book and this series something to look forward to. I cut my romance teeth on Susan Grant (too many series to name), Linnea Sinclair (Dock Five Universe), Lauren Dane (Federation books), Ann Aguirre (Sirantha Jax anyone?), R. Lee Smith, (hardcore), Sherrilyn Kenyon (League books), and Angela Knight (Warlord). While I know there are many more not listed, these are the books that carried me away to other planets. While this book didn’t really do a deep dive into the worlds these aliens inhabit, I still really enjoyed the story.
REVIEW: Hate Notes by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward
Kristie J’s review of Hate Notes by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward
Contemporary Romance published by Montlake 6 Nov 18
With a couple of exceptions, I’ve loved the collaboration between these two authors and this book firms up that love. I adored it.

REVIEW: Prince of Firestones by Zoey Draven
Kristie J’s review of Prince of Firestones (Krave of Everton, Book 2) by Zoey Draven
Sci-Fi Romance published by Amazon Digital Services 25 Sep 18
I was most delightfully surprised when I read the first book in this series, Kraving Khiva. So when I saw this one was out, I couldn’t get it and read it fast enough. At only 191 pages, it’s a short story, but the shortness of it didn’t take away the enjoyment of this follow-up story of Khiva and Eve, the H/h of the first book.
REVIEW: Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley
Stevie‘s review of Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley
Timeslip Contemporary and Historical Fiction published by Sourcebooks Landmark 07 Aug 18
Susanna Kearsley is one of my favourite authors for timeslip fiction and other stories in which contemporary characters investigate historical mysteries. This book is a timeslip in more than one sense, as not only do we see the mystery solved both in the present and the past, but there are times when one of the characters from that past seems to be trying to communicate with our contemporary heroine.
REVIEW: Bark! The Herald Angels Sing by Roxanne St. Claire
Sandy M’s review of Bark! The Herald Angels Sing (Dogfather, Book 8) by Roxanne St. Claire
Contemporary Romance published by South Street Publishing 9 Nov 18
I’m a sucker for heroes who melt when it comes to not only their heroines, but also children and dogs. Roxanne St. Claire’s Dogfather series has been entertaining from the beginning, dogs on nearly every page, and the Kilcannon family is now easily one of my favorites in romance. On top of these fun and love-filled books, Ms. St. Claire gives a portion of her proceeds to the Alaqua Animal Refuge. So if you haven’t read any of this series, that’s a double reason to get started.
