REVIEW: Swim Deep by Beth Kery
Sandy M’s review of Swim Deep by Beth Kery
Romantic Paranormal Suspense published by Amazon Digital Services 22 Feb 18
I’m a huge Beth Kery fan, so it’s nice to see a new release from her, because, for some reason, it’s been a bit since I read her. So I jumped right in with this latest. It’s not the usual Beth Kery her fans have come to know. This one has a bit of a Gothic feel, reminding me of my early reading years with Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney. It’s definitely different and delves into issues that most people would rather not hear about.
REVIEW: Wild Country by Anne Bishop
Tabs’ review of Wild Country (The World Of The Others, Book 2) by Anne Bishop
Fantasy Romance published by Ace 5 Mar 19
Anne Bishop’s Others Series is a dark fantasy series set in an alternate history world where paranormal beings, colloquially known as “The Others,” are the original indigenous earth species and humans are only allowed to live in their lands at their discretion. When the humans screw up and try to take over, they get eaten. Wild Country is a post-apocalyptic western that focuses on the reestablishment of a hybrid community in the western town of Bennet. The setup is a classic western, one with a town fighting against disreputable outlaws trying to take over.
Content Warnings: self-harm; on-page rape and torture
REVIEW: Day of the Accident by Nuala Ellwood
Stevie‘s review of Day of the Accident by Nuala Ellwood
Women’s Suspense Fiction published by Penguin 25 Jan 19
I have a slightly uneasy relationship with suspense fiction, more so with romantic suspense, but also with the regular variety. The blurb for this book intrigued me enough, however, that I requested a copy via Net Galley without anything in the way of further investigation. And to begin with, it appeared that I’d been correct in my assumption that this was a mystery in which the protagonist attempts to piece together the gaps in their memory and find out what really happened to them and to the other accident victims.
REVIEW: The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros
Sandy M’s review of The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros
Contemporary Romance published by Entangled: Amara 26 Feb 19
My heavens, this book punches you in the gut and doesn’t let up until the end. Loss, grief, guilt, deception, lust, and yes, love is entwined in every page of this story. I picked it up because I like the cover. There’s something quite poignant about those dog tags alone in the sand, all the while letting you know there’s more to the story when you finally see the couple in the background. I had no idea, however, of everything that would be thrown at Ella and Beckett – and me.
REVIEW: Suddenly Mine by Samantha Chase
Veena’s review of Suddenly Mine (Montgomery Brothers, Book 9) by Samantha Chase
Contemporary Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 29 Jan 19
Ms. Chase has rapidly climbed to become one of my favorite contemporary romance authors. Characters who are so believable they could be real; emotions that leap off the pages, sucking readers in completely. At the end, I feel like I lived each page. Suddenly Mine is another winner in a series that keeps getting better and better.
REVIEW: Give and Take by Lee Kilraine
Sandy M’s review of Give andTake (Thorne Brothers, Book 2) by Lee Kilraine
Contemporary Romance published by Lyrical Caress 18 Sep 18
I’ve been having a great time with these Thorne brothers. This second book in the series is featuring Wyatt, the youngest and most serious of the siblings. He feels he owes his brothers so much for taking care of him as they did after their mother left them. He was so young, he doesn’t even remember her. So he’s doing all he can to pay back by working harder and longer than all of them. But then he meets Rhia.

Although this book has been out for a while, I just discovered it by new author Emery Rose, and I was so impressed I wanted to share the love.
REVIEW: What Doesn’t Kill Her by Christina Dodd
Stevie‘s review of What Doesn’t Kill Her (Cape Charade, Book 2) by Christina Dodd
Contemporary Suspense published by HQN Books 29 Jan 19
Kellen Adams is a fascinating character, and the more we follow her adventures in the Cape Charade series, the more intriguing she becomes. Having decided to play a major role in the upbringing of the seven-year-old daughter she only just met, Kellen is staying at one of the wineries owned by her daughter’s wealthy father and his family. And when we first meet Kellen this time around, she’s crawling through the undergrowth close to one of the winery buildings.
REVIEW: The Scoundrel in Her Bed by Lorraine Heath
Sandy M’s review of The Scoundrel in Her Bed (Sins for All Seasons, Book 3) by Lorraine Heath

As all Lorraine Heath fans know, reading her books will pull your heartstrings so taut, your emotions will be running rampant in no time. REVIEW: Brant’s Return by Mia Sheridan
Kristie J’s review of Brant’s Return by Mia Sheridan
Contemporary Romance published by Amazon Digital Services 6 Jan 19
I have all of Ms. Sheridan’s books. A few I haven’t read yet, because she tends to write gut-wrenching books and I haven’t been in the mood for gut wrenching. All of the books I have read have been either 4.5- or 5-star books, except for one that I painfully gave a 1-star review. She is an auto-buy author I don’t even have to read the storyline before I hit that purchase button, and I’m always looking for her newest book.
