Dinca’s review of Grace (Farraday Country, Book 7) by Chris Keniston
Contemporary Romance published by Indie House Publishing 2 May 17
All of Tucker’s Bluff is taking bets. Will they place their money on the matchmaking dog known as Gray or on Grace Farraday, the small-town gal with big city dreams?
Chase Prescott is a greenhorn from New York City. The whole town feels he is getting in over his head buying the local tack and feed store. When the Farradays stop in to welcome him to town and invite him to Sunday supper, the dog shows up just in time to trip Grace Farraday. The brothers start mumbling something that is a cross between welcome to the family and here we go again.
Grace’s first glimpse of the new feed store owner is flat on her back with a dog on top of her and seed packets all around. As a newly graduated attorney, she feels it is her duty to educate him about possible lawsuits stemming from his over-enthusiastic dog.
The townsfolk have turned out to bet on the outcome of this match – the city slicker who wants to play Green Acres and the small-town girl who longs for the big city. There are plenty of events in this story line I did not see coming. It was a very enjoyable read and the ending had more of a complete finish than the previous books, which reflects in my grade.
Grade: A
