I’m so thrilled we get this little glance inside Nathaniel’s and Abby’s world as they marry and truly begin life together. If you’ve not begun reading this series yet, you should start now. The journey with this couple is packed with every emotion under the sun, and catching up with them to see their growth is extra icing on the wedding cake.
Not only do we catch up with Nathaniel and Abby through their reminisces, but we get to live through the anxiousness and anticipation leading up to their wedding day, and we’re also there along with family and friends as they say “I do.” Abby comes up with the brilliant plan of being abstinent during the month before the wedding. Nathaniel isn’t sure that’s a great idea, but it’s what Abby wants, so he agrees. There’s a lot of smiles and giggles that go along with all that anxiousness and anticipation as they do their best to get through those four weeks without their usual love play.
But that restraint makes the honeymoon that much sweeter. Their time at the chalet is idyllic; they intersperse Abby wearing Nathaniel’s collar with trips into the village, skiing, and lovemaking that still burns as intensely bright as it has from the beginning.
I really enjoyed the fun and lightness these two have come to since the last book in the series. Abby is much freer with Nathaniel outside their playroom. Nathaniel has learned to loosen up and enjoy life, despite his need for dominance. I love his teasing and openness with Abby. His romantic side is also in full force; his wedding gift to Abby will take a lot to be topped in Romanceland. As much as I loved Nathaniel before, he’s off the charts for me now. And as the masterful Dominant, Abby is one lucky women.
I’m so looking forward to The Enticement, which sounds as though this couple is in for some rough times. I know they’ll only be that much stronger at the end of it all.
