Veena’s review of 10 Ways to Handle The Best Man by Heidi Rice
Contemporary Romance published by Cosmo Red Hot Reads 14 Jan 14
She’s an innocent. He’s a Dominant. She’s good and gorgeous. He’s sinfully handsome and bad – the best ones always are. So this story is a foregone conclusion from the opening page, and reciting all the rules isn’t going to change even one iota of the outcome.
The entire story is told in the form of 10 rules for a matron of honor to follow in order to manage her duties, especially when it comes to the best man. Each one is very tongue in cheek and suggestive to the extreme.
I recently read somewhere that one doesn’t need to have had a troubled past for a person to develop into a Dominant or submissive. Regardless, Connor McCoy had a pretty rough childhood and nearly as rough adulthood. Fortunately he’s been able to put it all behind him and is now wealthy and successful. He agrees to be best man at his brother’s wedding, determined to deal with the family and be on his way.
Sabrina is a fiend for managing all the little details. She’s totally thrown off kilter when the bride, her BFF, tells her that she engineered Connor as the best man, especially for Sabrina to end her one-year-plus hiatus on sex. But even she couldn’t have imagined the goings on beneath the table cloth at the rehearsal dinner. Is Sabrina going to catch the bouquet and graduate from matron of honor to bride?
