Melissa Mayhue has bitten the bullet! This is her first book video in her Daughters of the Glen series, and I think you’re all in for a treat. The book isn’t out until December 27, but her trailer has just been released. So let’s check it out.
Melissa’s books are full of magic, time traveling, and sexy Highlanders. A tricky combo for a video.

My Review: I like most everything about this trailer. From the opening frame, snow blowing, wild and whispering wind, and bits of magic floating through the air, you get the feeling of otherwordliness. The music gives it a haunting quality, a slight Celtic touch. Wording is to the point, highlighting just what you need to get a sense of what this story is all about. I think in keeping with the Scottish theme, though, a Celtic font would have been nice.
The heroine is pretty, but she’s made up more like a model than an everyday girl. I would like to see a softer look. But the hero – perfect shot for a man seeking redemption. And the cemetery scene following gives you more insight into him.
Time travel is thrown in with the faerie magic, you get the feeling of being thrown through time. I like the added hints of the hero’s brother’s evil magic, giving another layer to the story. And our last vision of Dani and Malcolm and their passion is the romantic ending we all hope for.
