So I hopped on over to Claire Cross’s website to see when the next book was I could stalk ask the nice publisher person to send.
Turned out that I was cutting it close. You see… It had been a few weeks since One More Time had been sent to me. And it turned out to be part of a series and All or Nothing was set to release the beginning of April.
So I rushed off an email and waited.
and waited
and waited
Oh well to be fair I did other things and made plans but held a spot, you know just in case. Then I decided, I know this is going to be hard to believe possible, but I decided that the author didn’t wanna guest. And I had tons to read, do, plan and such. So I would catch the book later. No biggie.
I may have whined a little too.
Then a very sad thing happened and I am sure you shall feel my pain. Another reader got the book. le sigh… it was evol and unfair as life tends to be at times… To make it worse she loved the book.
So after calling the nice reader names, I decided to be an adult. Shush! It could happen. This is my story and I am sticking to it. And did what I should have done in the first place and just followed up. Turns out NEFARIOUS happenings were a foot! My book had been waylaid. Run afoul. Sent somewhere else, stolen or some such, who knows… all I know is it didn’t arrive in my happy hands after leaving NY. Or uh, wherever books are born.
To make a long story short – SHUSH – the nice lady resent the book. Book was grand. And yes, we all get to live Happily Ever After.
Well it isn’t like me getting a book is going to bring world peace or anything so HEA may be a bit much. But hey, I was happy. Best of all, Claire Cross will be here on Monday to talk about her nifty books. So you should be too.
Sez I. What? I am not saying yet to try something you might not like. I am saying come listen to me tell you later. LOL Really and true for as chick-lit as they look, they are contemporary romances. And you might like. Or not, if nothing else Tara Marie will.
