sooooooo anyone read any good books lately…
Feel free to discuss the book in this post if you want. Spoil yourselves silly… I don’t think Ward will make it to this post to read them. Either way feel free to say what you liked about that book or didn’t. What you can’t wait for or what you want to see.Β
JR Ward will be here today. If you haven’t picked up this book… go now!
I’m picking my copy up tonight. Oh, yay! π
I ordered mine…should be in the post any day now…please….Please!
SQUUUEEEEEEEEEEEE! π π π
I picked up my copy this morning. YEA!!!
If anyone has not read theses books WWWHHHYYY NNNOOOTTT. These have to be some of the best serial books in many a year you are hooked fromethe first words in Dark Lover. You will abosolutley love Lover Revealed. I cannot wait for the next one about Vishous the brothers are so hot.
I got the book on release day and read the entire thing in a matter of hours… I absolutely loved it!!! The cop is the bomb and now I can not wait for V’s story π
You are amazing, thank you so much for bringing us the Brotherhood and all that implies. We aren’t worthy π
I loved LR so much.
The relationship between V and Butch is so touching.
Butch with Marissa is very HOT!
And Thanks so much for all the new stuff with the King!!
Wrath was Awsome!! Loved It Big!!! Thanks WARDen. MUAH!
I ran out to Barnes and Noble and bought it as soon as the store opened and had it finished the next evening. I would have finished in one night but I was trying to savor the book! That didn’t last long! These books can’t be savored the first read through. That’s what the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc… read throughs are for! I’ve never done rereads until this series and there aren’t words to describe how awesome these stories are. All thumbs up for JR Ward! Way to go WARDen!!!!!!
THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!!! I’m contemplating buying a billboard to shout it to the world!
If you don’t put this at the very pinnacle of your “to be read” pile, you will be kicking yourself later.
Hi JR,
I loved Lover Revealed—I think the books just keep getting better and better. I can hardly wait for V’s book. Could you tell us anything more about Jane and is there a connection to Butch’s sister of the same name that is supposely dead? Just wondering. : )
I’ve read Lover Revealed twice now so I can move forward by rereading the entire series again! Thanks for the wonderful books!!!
Beki
Loved LR Warden!! It’s great to see each of the brothers get their mates and I love seeing the other characters still. That scene with Z and Bella was so sweet and hot! Will we get any more info on who Butch’s father is? Loved the parts with V and Butch, especially the Destroy and the Savior scene. Sigh! Can’t wait for October now.
GREAT book! GREAT job! I have loved every one of them so far, and I loved this. Caught me by surprise a couple of times, and it’s hard to do that. π
Dear WARDen,
Thank you so much for this book – and for the others already here and yet to come.
Questions, questions, questions… okay.. um…how to do this without being too spoiler-y for those who haven’t read Butch yet…
okay.. i have it.
Are we going to see further developments along the lines of those to do with JM’s friends in V’s book, particularly for JM?
Thanks!!
MUAH,
Neith
What a wonderful series!! I am a total addict and will soak up any and all tidbits JR would share!
Any V details you can’t wait to share??
i loved butch’s story. he was so romantic and is now my second favorite, perhaps it’s because he is a human. his tenderness really broke my heart. i just have to say that you are trully a masterful writer.
ps: could you please stop tormenting us and just have all the books come out at the same time? lol.
I have been rereading the brotherhood books as I can’t get yet a copy of LR.
wonderful, it was one of the best I have ever read. I have read it 3 times now. THANKS WARDEN!!!!!!!
I can’t wait to get mine and read it! The day is finally here! I don’t read spoilers til after I’m done with the book (no I don’t mind them, but I just love to discuss it after I read it) π I just love series and never want this one to end!
Well, I haven’t read it yet, but I’m sure I will love it! And after reading all the little tidbits and spoilers I’m even more anxious to read it. And how is it that I am already thinking of the next one and all the waiting time before it. The BDB’s books really cause adiction π
As a devoted reader of your forum, I can only say this… JR WARD YOU ROCK! You could not ask for a nicer, sweeter, kick a** kind of woman. These books are incredible and Butch was thuddable.
Thanks so much!
I have so much to say, I’m feeling too lazy to blog it so here I am commenting…again! *lol* In short, the things that bothered other people about the book didn’t affect me so much (except the product placements in the first few chapters – that was really noticeable to me). I was surprised to find I liked Rehv after all. One day I’ll reread LA and see if I like him any better there. There were other things that bothered me that not many other people mentioned. Won’t go into that here, have to think about them some more.
For some reason, the romance in LR seemed to me very much in the style of category novels. Not saying that’s bad – I grew up inhaling category romance – just that it’s a vibe I felt. I really love how JRW writes “threesomes” (or triangles?) – Rehv/Marissa/Butch, V/Butch/Marissa, Wrath/Bella/Butch (and previously, Layla/Rhage/Mary and Z/Bella/Phury). I love the energy and the tension and the way she pulls back and lets us rides nuances in her words, rather than hitting us with a sledgehammer. Those are my some of my favourite scenes in the BDB books.
*SPOILER WARNING* Holy scheikies! I finished this book in just 1.5 days over the last week (spring break here) and it was TERRIFIC! I liked it MUCH more than I did Lover Awakened (sorry, JR). I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough and I really, really, really liked the dynamic between Butch and Marissa. They were such a believable and likeable couple.
The whole Butch-cum-vampire thing was a bit forced, but I still liked it. If there had been some inkling earlier in the series that this might be a possibility it would have felt less contrived, I think. But it was still cool.
I felt like the flow of this book was much better. The pacing was excellent and the “confusion” scenes, where the male or female leads misunderstand each other’s motivation, were very believable. JR totally suspended my disbelief through most of the book. I didn’t have that with LA – I kept “thinking” too much with it, if that makes sense.
In LR, I could relate more to the bad guys, too – that was one of my complaints in LA (Z’s book) where it felt like the Lessers interrupted the story, instead of adding drama or tension. For example, Christine Feehan’s bad-guy vamps are truly terrifying, but you seldom if ever read about their “process” and that’s okay. In LA, I think JR took me too much into the Lesser’s “process” – I don’t want to know that much about them. Expanding on them while they’re interacting with the Brothers is good – expanding on them in a kind of extemporaneous fashion, not so good. I just don’t care that much about them.
In all, I’d give Lover Revealed a solid A. Get it, if you haven’t already!
