Ladies let me hear you SCREAM

May 9, 2008

sl_thumbnail.jpgI have felt like crap for most of the week and am a bit medicated so I offer up nothing really in terms of thoughts or ponderings on RT. At least not at this time... maybe later maybe not... then again anyone who knows me knows regardless of my opinion on jack I have to say to each their own.

but this...

well first - TURN DOWN YOUR SPEAKERS -

Are they down? DAMN it, you blow your shit I don't want to hear about it. Got it?

turn them down or turn them off...

k?

k

tra la la

brought to you by the letters c-h-e-e-s-y

Elloras Cavemen - God Bless the USA - Romantic Times 2008

I don't see to much to get worked up over but I am odd like that of course I would say it is soooooooooo bring presented like a 'watered' down strip show. Of course ask me how many strip clubs I have been in and I need both of my hands to count them. I guess it is a time and place thing.I know shocking isn't it. And I am not even gonna tell you WHAT I was doing in them...

And god damn it if you are related to me in any way get the fuck off my blog - please and thank you ;)

It is a time and place thing I think. If this is an after hours party - completely optional - ::shrug:: RT is presented as a reader and author thang. RWA isn't a reader/author get together. So this would have less of a place there or I could see authors getting more worked up about the 'party' feel of it. Now I am not saying it means go cop a feel, wear a button (although I am all for buttons in general for most things I got a fangrrl one you know) and no always means get your fucking hands off me you moron.

but uh that could just be me... what do you think... come on ladies... let me hear you scream :D

RT 2008: And so to the cover model contest!

April 20, 2008

Lynne CThe Model Contest: Romance Style...
by Lynne Connolly

And so to the final full day. The book signing day! I'm not signing at the big fair this year, so I had a wonderful time wandering around the packed ballroom and talking to some of my heroines, squeeing at the likes of Mary Jo Putney and Pat Rice, and buying books. Just what I need. All those romance authors in one room, and they all got on like crazy, lots of chatting and hugging. Women together are real bitches. So not.

RT 2008: Go for the Burn!

April 19, 2008

Lynne CDay Four: Go for the Burn...by LynneC

We're all getting stir crazy here. Some great sessions and some not so great today. This morning a very useful and informative session on Series Romance after a wholly enjoyable Ellora's Cave private brunch. We got a star of our very own and a really cool bag with lots of pockets. I love me some pockets.

We opted to go out for lunch and completely forgot we weren't in the presence of romance authors, ending up discussing the difficulties of writing a menage scene when you have no Barbie dolls handy (sometimes Barbie dolls are an erotic romance author's best friend!) and then the different things you can do in a love swing and how it was completely essential to fix the thing into the strongest beams in the house. It did go a little silent around us. They were either listening or making plans.

RT 2008: And on the third day….

April 18, 2008

muses by TGTBTU's "Author on the Scene" Lynne C

The internet here is a bit hit and miss. Hundreds of people descending on a hotel and instantaneously plugging in their laptops and logging on will do that. So I'm online when I can. Excitement and exhaustion is setting in wholesale.

RT 2008: Romantic Times Day Two

April 17, 2008

musesby Lynne Connolly, TGTBTU's Author on the Spot at RT

Wednesday. The day started with bag stuffing. Lots of laughter as we got the Ellora's Cave bags ready for tonight. Christine McKay, who did a lot of Not Sock Puppets (hint – it doesn't go on your feet, but it rhymes) kindly did us some duckie puppets – I'll try to take a photo once I can get my camera to work. Just for us ducks!
