Picture the paranormal romance landscape: studded with brooding leather clad vamps and rugged lone shifters, all bent on saving the world from evil and protecting their women. What's missing? Chicks. Ass-kicking chicks. Sure, you've got a token here and there, but in Bound by Shadow, the sisters are doing it for themselves. The Dark Crescent Sisterhood can hold their own with any fictional warriors, using research, strategy, technology and weapons to fight their foes in this flawed but ultimately promising start to a new series.
