Site Nav
If you, like me, are having some minor difficulties with the new site, read this handy-dandy Navigation Guide!
The blog is now a logo header, a page header (directly below the logo) and three columns (below the page header). The “meat” of the blog is now in the three main columns in the body. Here’s a short description of them:
1. Left Column – this column has two sections:
- Reviews – posts that are a review – books, movies, audio books, etc. It will always have the three most recent reviews. This section will probably change every day. If you click on the REVIEWS category in the right column, you’ll get a window that will give you only reviews in a long list with snippets of each.
- Duck Sauce Theater – one post that is a video, music, or both. This section may not change more than a couple of times a week.
2. Middle Column – this column contains posts from the old blog you would have called “special events” posts (think, Guest Author Days and Spooktacular) and general blog posts (Ponderings and snarkage). Right now (and it could change at any moment), this colum is divided into these sections:
- Guest Author – contains Guest Author Day or Guest Author Post information. It will likely become “Special Events,” or something like that, as we work on what we want in it.
- Pondering – contains general blog-like posts like, “You ever wonder why…” and general life observations.
- Coming Attractions – contains Book Alerts, book show information, signings we hear about, etc.
3. Right Column – this used to be the “side bar” on the old blog. It has dynamic information at the top – like Recent Posts and Recent Comments – and static (doesn’t change often) information – like Categories and some admin tools. Not very different from the old blog.
