Book CoverDinca’s review of Finn (Farraday Country, Book 6) by Chris Keniston,
Contemporary Romance published by Indie House Publishing 28 Feb 17

Book 6 in the Farraday series continues to hold my attention. Ms. Keniston writes with a joy that lights up her stories.

Finn follows a barking dog through the pasture, not sure what he will find. When he recognizes his old housemate from college, Joanna Gaines, there is no way he is going to mess with this situation, just because his family thinks the dog is their personal matchmaker.

Coming to  west Texas on a writing assignment is a perfect excuse for Joanna to visit her college friend, which is long overdue. The last place she wants to reconnect with Finn Farraday is up a tree – literally up a tree with a hissing snake at the bottom. There always seems to be a snake in the grass or road when Joanna is around.

As a long-time friend of Finn, Joanna is welcomed into the Farraday home as a guest. Finn swears Joanna to secrecy about seeing the dog. His Aunt Eileen treats her as a guest, because the dog has not re-appeared. As she watches the developments between Joanna and Finn, she is very disturbed and feels Joanna is not the right person for Finn without the dog’s approval. When she finally spots the dog in the yard with them, all bets are off and she sets out to aid and abet the sanctioned match.

I feel this ending, like the others books, is missing something as Ms. Keniston carries the story over into the next story. But, still, I am very much enjoying the Farraday series and looking forward to Book 7. I usually lose interest long before now. It must be the dog. LOL.

Summary:

Welcome to Finn, book 6 in Farraday Country, a twist on the favorite 7 Brides for 7 Brothers theme set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston.

Born to be a cattleman, Finn Farraday is living his dream—running the family’s West Texas ranch. Even though his brothers have found the loves of their lives, Finn isn’t looking for a wife. Not even if she literally falls into his arms.

City Girl Joanna Gaines knows she’s not cut out for the nine to five rat race. But the ambling West Texas pace isn’t her speed either. That is until a ghost of an idea, and a last minute career-building opportunity lands her in the arms of the one good man that got away.
