Book CoverVeena’s review of An Heir To Make A Marriage by Abby Green
Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Presents 01 Jun 16

This is a typical Harlequin Presents Cliché. Young virgin meets rich, handsome, sophisticated bachelor leading to an unforgettable night with consequences. I do, however, like how Ms. Green tells her story and the little twists in the plot that make it stand out.

Zac Valenti is a self-made millionaire who has willingly walked away from his family millions. In fact, there’s a lot of strange in his family, which makes for an interesting telling when he finally gets around to it. He is not looking for romance, but one meeting with innocent Rose O’Malley blows him away.

Unfortunately for Zac, Rose is a cleverly chosen weapon that’s been aimed at him by his grandmother. When she tries to run away and hide, neither Zac nor his grandmother allow her to do so. When he learns the truth, Zac helps Rose with her father and to win her over and be a father to a child that he originally never wanted.

As the story plays itself out, we learn a lot more about Zac and his motives and his lust (love for Rose).  A light-hearted read where the end of story is never in any doubt.

Grade: B
