Veena’s review of ‘Til Dragons Do Us Part (Never Deal With Dragons, Book 3) by Lorenda Christensen
Paranormal Romance published by Carina Press 27 Oct 14

I am a sucker for books that deal with the future, plus this title really appealed to me. Unfortunately, the story itself does not deliver on the promise of the title, for me anyway. If you put aside Savannah’s ability to morph into a dragon, then the book is a somewhat predictable story about a group of art thieves who give it up for love and family.

There are definitely some interesting moments when Savannah or Vanni, as she likes to be called, finds herself in situations out of her control while she’s casing the joint in preparation for her next big theft. It is never clear to me why the wedding planner actually protects her identity and hires on, especially when she very definitely does not have the skills.

Cameron is a very conscientious head of security assigned to protect the valuables in Lord Relobu’s home, as well as to coordinate the security needs of the upcoming wedding of the lord’s protégé and a dear friend of his own.

Overall this story is definitely not my cup of tea, despite the shape shifting and blowing flames.

Grade: D

Summary:

Savannah Cavenaugh became a top art thief thanks to a secret ability—a dragonmorph, she can literally fly away from the scene of the crime. Next up: stealing a priceless painting out from under the snout of Lord Relobu, North America’s fearsome dragon ruler. True, she’s never had to work in the midst of Earth’s most polarizing nuptials before. Keeping her identity hidden will demand she get creative, to say the least.

Cameron Shaw has one last chance to prove himself. As Lord Relobu’s interim security head, he’ll ensure the world’s first interspecies wedding happens without a hitch. That means keeping an extra close eye on the wedding planner’s pretty young assistant. She’s adorable, but something’s not quite right.

Fumbling her way through bouquets and linens turns out to be the least of Savannah’s problems. Crushing on Relobu’s hottest human henchman was not part of the plan, and neither was revealing her—ahem—ferocious side. But when her archrival shows up to nab the very same painting she’s after, all bets are off…
