Contemporary Romance published by Harlequin Blaze 16 Nov 10

Funny, cute and adorable, and what a theme for Christmas and any other time of the year.  This is a how-to guide for getting your roommate out of the house so you can have some “alone time” with your girlfriend.

Marlie Waters is a web designer who works from home. She purchased her house even after her engagement fell through. It’s her dream house and she took in a roommate to make sure she could afford the payments. Her roommate, Ty, is her long-time friend from back home. Their parents are best friends and they were always thrown together growing up.  They find they share a comfortable living arrangement while he waits for his house to be finished.  All she has to do is keep her childhood crush buried.

Ty  Burton just wants some privacy. His girlfriend is a client of Marlie’s, and after Marlie catches them striping on the couch he’s desperate. So desperate he purchases twelve dates with as many men at a fund raiser to get Marlie out of the house so he can seduce his girlfriend in private.

Ty’s plan starts backfiring when he discovers mousy little Marlie has a hidden sexy side.  He starts showing up at the door as ‘big brother’ to intimidate her dates.  He even doubles with his girlfriend on one of them.  The 12 Days of Christmas charity auction turns into his worst nightmare. With each day that goes by, he wants Marlie more… for himself.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s quick, fun read, and I am glad I didn’t pass it by.
