The author explained it to me that she wrote Turn It On first. Then after she turned it in “people” (her editor at Samhain? Readers? Can’t recall) – wanted Max’s romance. Well….in Turn It On he was already married! So she had to turn back the clock and essentially write a prequel. I saw some other reviews from people saying they weren’t wild about “reading out of order” – but meh. I personally was fine with it….but then we all know I’m a freak
