Pamela Clare is the author of one of my all time favorite historical novels, Ride the Fire, and sadly we have been waiting to see if her most recent series (MacKinnon’s Rangers) set in Colonial America would ever be finished.
We haven’t been waiting on the author but the publisher to give her the go ahead, since the setting sadly just ‘doesn’t sell’.

It will be a bit of a wait but Connor’s book will be out in 2012. She has moved all her books to Berkley (if you don’t already read her AMAZING I-TEAM series – it is Romantic Suspense pick it up!) Really you have time to pick up her whole back list if you have fallen behind or if you haven’t tried her out yet. Her historicals are grand and her Romantic Suspense is just getting better and better. You can find tons of reviews for both here just follow the tag…

Actually, I’m drinking champagne at a downtown restaurant, where I had a Greek salad with grilled salmon for dinner. I brought my laptop. LOL!
But I did tell the waiter all about it and he was very nice. The champagne was free. 🙂

Thank you so much, Sara! I love the Rangers, too, so I was relieved to know I wasn’t going to have to leave the series behind. I’m not sure Wentworth and Joseph will get their books — at least not for a while. But Connor is the most important one, obviously.

Oh, yeah! I was starting to worry that this never going to happen. I loved the first two books in the Ranger series, in large part because of the time period. It makes me all kinds of sad that there are so few other people interested in it. Congratulations and many thanks to Pamela for finding a publisher for Connor’s book.
